The cafe you were in, "Marcel's", was a pretty nice place all in all. The wifi connection was stable, the barista was hot (though clearly a hipster; probably digged working in some random cafe in the middle of some nondescript street that advertised recycling and whole beans and saving the Earth), and the coffee was hot and sweet and good.
Your head was still pounding and memories were everywhere; the Batterwitch, the freaky "Presidents", the whole world going to hell. None of that was here.
The barista kept eyeing you; maybe you were still pretty famous? Either that or you looked like a hobo/drug addict, and you couldn't help but wish desperately that it would be the former.
You couldn't help but stare listlessly at the small screen of your phone as well, wondering if anyone you used to know was alive.
