Sometimes you just have to go where the wind takes you. It is hard to keep the focus when life seems to be rushing by, but if you remember to grab those opportunities and force them to slow down, you will be able to enjoy every second.
This is especially hard for me to remember, but when I make it a point to soak in a moment every day, I really notice a turn for the better in my outlook. Usually, this is as easy as looking up. I don't mean it figuratively either.
When I take my dog out for a little bathroom break or walk, I will sometimes take a second and just look up. Whether the weather is rainy, cold, sunny, breezy, or whatever, it always humbles me. Seeing the clouds or the birds, or the trees... it reminds me that I am in complete control of my day. And when you are in a place where it feels like you don't have the opportunity to make decisions about how life turns out, this is a welcomed sensation!
