"Can you stop with the Crash?"
No, I will not stop talking about Crash.
No, I will not stop posting, talking about, loving, showing, and explaining crash. I discovered crash at one of the lowest points in my life. Crash has quite literally saved my life. Crash made me realize the person I was and made me become the person I really am and want/need to be. Crash made me explore new opportunities, trades, and paths in my life. Crash helped me get over fears. Crash helped me become independent. Crash helped me realize what I wanted in life. Crash aided me in exploring my desires. Crash helped me pass driver's ed. Crash helped me feel safe in exploring my queer identity. Crash gave me confidence. Crash has allotted me so much that it has made me a better, stronger, kinder, and overall more grounded person to myself and others.

I did not have the cruelty in me to cut the song short so the edit has about 25-30 secs at the end...sorry...
Vaughan had an immense, undying passion for James, one that involved diligence and tension with a visceral dance of violence and sexuality.
Vaughans 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible was very integral to the story of James and Vaughan it is where they spent so much time. Vaughan's Personal passions included Technology and humanity which had expanded in their own licentious ways, and one who collided the two that came crashing into his life, James Ballard. This new flesh... new muse to Vaughan's fixation causes him to dive further, aiding in Ballard's discovery educating, pleasuring, and plummeting himself further, finding himself aligned by the presence of Ballard where he once was at a roadblock. James was Vaughan's passenger and guided him in a way that was intentionally based in love, almost like a compass...
Vaughan and Ballard's relationship carries this fate that is constantly alluded to in the film and their dynamic carries a certain synergy that feels deeper than flesh. Later on in the film we see them each getting tattoos starting with Vaughan's [prophetic] steering wheel tattoo. Vaughan hands Ballard a design, this design is the emblem for the aforementioned 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible that Vaughan owns and loves in his own way. James is seemingly unaware of the impact he has had on Vaughan and asks an extremely vulnerable Vaughan where it should be placed.
The placement of the tattoo being at the inner right thigh specifically near the sartorius is also intentional I feel, it ergonomically fits there and points up down, and around the thigh almost to indicate a guide as to how one should touch Ballard. It also guides like a wrapped gift, Ballard is one to be desired likened to that of a prize. The withering points happen to be near the genitals which I see as a loss in direction amidst a sea of vulnerability and how intimacy can soften someone but not completely dull them.
Hood ornaments serve multiple purposes such as aesthetic, status, power, and symbolism. The Lincoln logo in particular holds symbolic significance in multiple ways; precision within its points, a compass or a nautical star if you will within its shape, the silver and intentional lines indicative of elegance, sophistication, luxury, and sharpness. It is also the front of the car. As seen in the sex scene following the tattoo scene, Vaughan leaves himself to the whims of James and worships his body. I believe Ballard's tattoo lends itself to proving that Ballard is powerful in Vaughan's life, if not dominant over Vaughan. Vaughan's dominance lies in passions, Ballard's in guidance.
"It's something we're all intimately involved in: the reshaping of the human body by modern technology."
