Dear Penny Lane, it sounds like Hunter Finn might be itching for that leadership crown. What are your thoughts on the Soc leaders through the recent years (Chris, Hunter, Hailey, and Jasmine)? Does Hunter have a shot at winning the West Side people over?
Dear Anonymous reader,
Oh, he’s certainly itching for it, and it’s an itch he can’t quite scratch. Over the recent years, each leader has had their pros and cons, I couldn’t possibly judge any of them. Who am I kidding? I’ll break it down for you:
Chris: This boy gets a bad rap. He did an excellent job on that royal Soc throne, even gave Rodney Dodger a run for his money. Isn’t that the ultimate goal? And yet there is something to say for enormous, endless ambition, which brings me to…
Hunter: He’s led the Socs through both great victory and terrible defeat. Unfortunately, we do know that Rodney can get the best of him whether it’s snatching his sister’s heart or sending him packing from a carnival in an ambulance. Talk about a walk of shame…speaking of,
Hailey: Can you say women empowerment? She bleeds this stuff, standing toe-to-toe with the boys and proving that not only can a woman lead in a male-dominated world, she can do it with style. Who else misses Hailey Thompson? That girl kicked some ass and took some names, pardon my french. Yet, she bowed out to walk away, leaving…
Jasmine: We’ve been experiencing a time of quiet peace, at least to public eyes. When Jasmine steps up in crisis and puts on her shoes of sass, she’ll be stepping on all the right toes. Hailey placed confidence in her, and I would like to see the Socs follow the suit of the fallen Mama Soc.
Do I think Hunter has a shot? Yes, with some work and shiny, pretty things (notorious Soc distractions). But ye of little, little faith, keep an eye on the women, they’ll surprise you every time.
Sincerely yours,
Penny Lane
