Sometimes something made in my country gets turned into a meme and i have to share the origin.
So here it is the OG first ever performance of dubidubidu, the chipi chipi chapa chapa song, circa 2004.
Christell was adorable and this was a very successfull talent competition tv show.
Mon Laferte was on this show too.
Finally catching up on Dancing with the Stars, I know, how could I wait this long? But Christell just shared her story about currently freezing her eggs, because she’s worried about her age and relationship status interfering with her ability to live out her dreams of being a mom, and my god does that hit home.
It seems like since I turned 25 (a few years ago), I have had that same fear, especially since I have always felt I was born to be a mom. I have given this a lot of thought incase my fate falls short in efficient time, as well, because well our female bodies are kind of on a timeline for these things.
I give Christell all the credit in the world, because it is not an easy or comfortable process, and to be doing that on top of being on TV has to be beyond overwhelming in so many ways. Personally, I’m not sure I could do the daily shots due to my awful PTSD with needles, especially syringes, but it’s a real option that I’m so proud of her for being strong enough to chose those dreams, no matter the obstacles.
If you haven’t head Christell’s full story, including her childhood, it’s a good one. I’m sure many people, including myself, have looked at her and immediately assumed negative things about her because of her stardom and appearance, but do not be fooled. This woman is a fighter and a great role model.
