Aloha! Twenty-two years ago, "Lilo & Stitch" first made waves on theatres today!
I remember how I used to watch this multiple times as a kid. This came out during the time when DVDs and VHS were still a thing. There is just something special about this film that you grow to love the characters on screen. As a kid, Lilo was my favorite due to her quirkiness.
She has an odd interest in feeding a fish peanut butter sandwich, taking photos of fat people, and listening to Elvis. She is raised by her older sister Nani who has to work hard so child services don't take her away. One rainy night, a mysterious creature named Stitch crashed into the island of Hawaii and ended up being brought into a local dog shelter after being hit by a truck. Lilo immediately liked him upon first sight and decided to adopt him.
Of course, it ain't easy raising a blue alien dog. Stitch ends up causing trouble to everyone around him but also doesn't want to be alone and wishes to have a family. You have a couple of aliens sent to take him back to space and they're also quite funny as they go through these crazy antics just to get him.
I have heard many people online, who are mostly neurodivergent, relate to her more due to her inability to fit in. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually turned out to be on the spectrum herself.

The ukulele was first made poplar by Manuel Nunes, Augusto Dias and Jose do Espirito Santo, who arrived in Hawaii on the Ravenscrag in 1879 from the Portuguese Islands of Madeira.
