Chris Lopez, the father of Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowryâs youngest sons, has notably not wanted to appear on camera. Therefore, viewers are more privy to her side of the story regarding their on-again-off-again relationship. After signing a contract to continue appearing on the show, a fan wondered if he would âconsiderâ filming a special in the future.
In response to an Instagram prompt by Chris Lopez, who fathers two children with Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry, for questions, a fan asked if he would film a special with the franchise to give the audience a glance into his life.
Lopez, 27, answered he would âconsider doing somethingâ if presumably money and the other fathers featured in the show are involved.
âThey deserve love out here, too,â he added.
The Delaware native has frequently vocalized his unwillingness to film on camera since he and Lowry welcomed their first child.
After previously insisting the cameras could no longer film him, Lopez agreed to continue appearing on the MTV reality show in August 2021, a month following the Teen Mom 2 Season 10 finale.
Since the beginning of their relationship in 2017, he hasnât wanted to appear and notoriously swore at the cameras in a 2021 episode.
The Ashleyâs Roundup reported he signed for $2,000 an episode and that his ex wasnât happy to find out about the news. According to the publication, a source informed it that Lowry didnât want him âcashingâ in on her opportunity.
However, the Teen Mom 2 regular took to her Instagram story to denounce the rumors and insisted she didnât know about the contract.

Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry claimed that her ex Chris Lopez and Javi Marroquin's other baby mama Lauren Comeau called her a "fat f**k" and "piece of s**t."
The MTV star has been publicly feuding with both Chris and Lauren over the past several years.
Kailyn, 29, took to her Instagram Stories to accuse both Chris and Lauren of calling her names.
The Teen Mom 2 star gave the camera a serious look while in the car on Tuesday, captioning her shot: "Shout out to Chris & Lauren for calling me a fat f**k, fat POS and told me to get running."
"See ya'll soon," she finished, with a kissy face emoji.

Busta Loper reacted to a scene from the MTV show and told Tylerâs mom Kimberly that she is âthe problem.â
On Sunday, a Teen Mom fan account shared a clip from the show of Tylerâs wife Catelynn Lowell being criticized by his parents for wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt.
When she was asked if she was really wearing the shirt, Catelynn, 29, responded: âYes I am because I support the Black Lives Matter movement.â
Later in the episode, Catelynn told Tyler, 29, about the backlash she received for wearing the shirt.
When a producer asked if anyone in his family shares the coupleâs more liberal political views, Tyler responded: âWeâre one side in this war.â
A number of MTV fans rushed to the comments section to praise Catelynn and Tyler for how they handled the situation, as Tylerâs mother has been outspoken about not supporting the movement.
Busta also took to the comments section to praise Tyler, writing: âI commend this young man!!! Very few words but effective few words spoken loudly!! I find it funny how MTV downplayed this but let my son or others of color say something out of pocket & it's a whole different narrative!!! Some of these comments are very disappointing!! & I can't wait to meet Ty's people's (father). All we can do is pray for people like this!! For those that still say or think that âALL LIVES MATTERâ I say this... Yes all lives do matter but until âBLACK LIVES MATTERâ there's no way that âALL LIVES CAN MATTER!!!!â For those that don't agree it's ok u have that right but understand U ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!!!â
Busta concluded: âOnce again Ty I commend u & thank u & your wife for your support!!!!!!!!
âThanks for allowing me to voice my opinion admin. Everybody have a blessed day!!!! â¤ď¸â
Kailyn Lowry said she wasnât filming more episodes of âTeen Mom 2â after her ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez, signed a deal with MTV to appear on the reality show. Despite having two sons together, Lopez made his first appearance on âTeen Mom 2â during season 10B.
The rumor bubbled during an Instagram Q&A after a fan asked, âAre you filming new episodes for TM2?â She answered: âI am not.â Screenshots of the interaction were captured by The Sun.
If Lowry did decide to walk away, there were some fans who were on her side. âI dont blame her. The last episode I watched all he did was refer to their boys as âher sons/your sonâ in aggressive tones and their drop-off was like he was throwing the baby back saying âheâs your problem now. Bye,'â they wrote, referring to Lopez. âHe is so disrespectful on camera to her during the drop-off.â
Heavy reached out to Lowry for comment but didnât immediately hear back.
Lowry, 29, said she was unbothered about Lopez agreeing to appear on âTeen Mom 2â with her, but she was displeased with MTV for not talking to her about the decision.
âI donât give one single f*** what Chris does,â she wrote, according to screenshots shared to Reddit. âI care about how it was handled/how I found out and the lack of respect people have for me after 12 years of doing this show.â
Behind the scenes, however, sources painted a different picture.
âKail was not happy that Chris is going to be cashing in on an opportunity created by her,â an insider told The Ashleyâs Reality Roundup.
Kail Lowry and Chris Lopez are once again taking turns venting about one another on social media, after Chris criticized Kail on his most-recent podcast episode for making co-parenting hard. Naturally, this didnât go over well with the Teen Mom 2 star, who took to Instagram to rant about Chris and his lack of parental involvement.
During Tuesdayâs episode of Chrisâ P.T.S.D podcast, Chris spoke about the situation with âhis kidsâ motherâ multiple times, including their decision to host separate birthday parties for their two sons, Creed and Lux, and stories that get twisted in the media due to Kail being âvery calculated.â
Kail, in turn, hit Instagram Stories this week, going on a rant about Chris being more of a âpart-time babysitterâ to their two son than a dad.
She went on to praise her other baby daddiesâ Jo Rivera and Javi Marroquinâ fathers of Isaac and Lincoln, respectivelyâ for contributing their time and money to their sons.
Chris, who said he now speaks to a therapist twice a week, called the co-parenting situation between himself and Kail âfrustrating as hell.â He also complained about the court system and questioned why he is not allowed more time with his sons, despite having âalways wanted 50-50 [custody] of the kids.â
Kail responded to her exâs remarks in a series of videos posted to Instagram (which were reposted by the TeenMomShadeRoom_ Instagram account).
While Kail didnât specifically state that she was addressing Chris in her rant, it was clear that her words were meant for Baby Daddy #3. Â
â ⌠I just wanted to say that the bar is set really low for men as fathers and itâs really annoying and tired and Iâm over being called a bitter baby mom or Iâm this, or Iâm that, or Iâm trying to keep my sons away from their dad,â she said.
âWhen you donât contribute financially in terms of school and doctors appointments and you have no idea what the school schedule is, you donât know when doctors appointments are and when Iâm telling you to your face when a doctor appointment is and you donât show up and you literally text me saying that I didnât write it down for you, thatâs a problem. So, am I bitter or am I doing what I have to do for my children? You guys decide.â
In another clip, Kail said Jo and Javi âhave 50 percent of their kids because they are present 50 percent of the time, if not more, and they contribute 50 percent of the time financially.â
âThey walk the walk and they talk the talk,â Kail added. âI might not have liked it at first, but I was able to finally give up that 50 percent [custody] because they were doing what they were saying they were going to do. They were presentâ- financially and physicallyâ- and they contribute.
âIf Iâm not giving you the 50 percent or the courts arenât giving you the 50 percent, thereâs a reason why,â she continued. âIâm honestly just sick of the, âKail is always the problem.â Iâm sick of it. Iâm tired of it.â
She also called her ex a âpart-time babysitterâ in the rant.
Despite Chris telling podcast listeners this week that heâd no longer âspeak on the dramaâ that is his and Kailâs chaotic co-parenting, the father of two took to Instagram Friday to let everyone know he heard Kailâs rant.
âIf Iâm going to be honest with yâall man, if I was to speak on the drama that went on today, Iâd be contradicting myself,â Chris said. âIf you listen to my last podcast, I said it. Iâm not going to keep engaging in this s**t. I already know how it turns out, Iâm not gonna do that.
âIâm done, so Iâm not speaking on that s**t no more, man,â he continued. âI said what I think, thatâs cool. I take whatever was said, I take that s**t on the chin, it is what it is. Iâm not gonna argue it. But I came on here to just composite s**t with yâall. I hate getting on the internet and social media sometimes and seeing that s**t, I ainât gonna lie.â
Chris added that engaging in the conflict âjust look dumbâ and does nothing but drive a wedge between himself and Kail.
Oh, and just for fun: hereâs Kailâs âTeen Mom 2â co-star Briana DeJesusâ two-cents on the matter. (Because we all know how much Kail values her good pal Brianaâs opinion!)
When asked how she felt about someone commenting on fake dads, despite that same âsomeoneâ previously backing her baby daddy Devoin Austin, Briana provided the following (quite lengthy) response: Â
âI realized thereâs no such thing as a fake dad,â Briana wrote. âBut what there is-is that thereâs something called parenting different. I learned that u canât always have it ur way and the other parent will do what they wanna do when they wanna do it and how they wanna do it. As doing u and being the parent u want to be for ur kids, the rest is history!â
Briana added that she doesnât care âwho supports who.â
