Denmark is acting like a fear mongering nationalistic exaggerating village
It is tragic. And we cannot compare death in numbers. But for Denmark, a country that has invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and murdered countless of civilians in the name of war on terror, to then display itself as a victim of terror is some neo-colonialist hypocritical bullshit.
Yes It's tragic, antisemitism isn't to be taken lightly, yes it's scary, the culprit was shot dead two streets away from my parents, the streets are still evacuated, people's homes in ghettos are being raided without any public statement as to why, but it's seriously nothing compared to the war struck countries that Denmark has helped invade, and destroy, yet we have the nerve to claim that we're the ones under terror attack!? And demand that Islamic society of Denmark make a statement distancing themselves from the assassination by one person? When the fuck do we stand up and apologize for the terror we have caused in muslim countries?! I can assure you my "fear" is nothing compared to Copenhagen's muslim citizen's who are now sharing advice on facebook everywhere, on how to report street harassment or how they aren't terrorists.
These were not acts of terrorism. These were hate crimes, assassinations. There is no need to spread unnecessary fear.
Let the thoughts be with the victims and not with political discourse.
