Thailand just approved seven Data Center Projects from Thai, American and Singaporean Companies worth a total of $3.1 billion
Thailand's Board of Investment (BOI) just recently approved seven major Data Center Projects which has a combined worth of $3.1 billion. The four biggest Projects are as follows:
Three Data Center Projects by the Thai Company "True Internet Data Center Co., Ltd" worth $1.4 billion which will be situated in Chonburi and Samut Prakan.
Two Projects totaling $1.2 billion by the American Company, "GSA Data Center 05 Co., Ltd." which will be located in Rayong and Samut Prakan.
One project worth $300 million by the Thai Company, "Stellar DC Co., Ltd." which will be located in Bangkok.
One Project by the Singaporean Company "Freyr Technology Co., Ltd." worth $200 million which will be located in Rayong and Samut Prakan.
These Data Centers will provide Jobs as well as faster internet access to Thais. They are also expected to generate more Business Opportunities for other Companies related to it which will in turn lead to more Jobs. These Data Centers are of course expected to follow Thailand's Environmental Sustainability Laws.
