Tokutember 2023 Day 11: Portal

Gleaming, green irides were wandering around, taking in each and every detail that they registered; from inanimate objects - such as the large gates leading to Hope’s Peak - to the moving, breathing beings that differentiated greatly from each other. The bearer of those curious eyes belonged to a pink-haired girl who seemed to have a particular great fondness for the very color that her hair is dyed in. The same-colored suitcase with a star pattern on it was currently used as a temporary seating accommodtion - and as it possessed little wheels, it was probably to no one’s surprise that she took advantage of it by rolling forward to the rest of her class.

By no means was this a necessarily good idea; the faster you went, the more likely you were to potentionally hurt yourself. However, Kaya Hanamoto, self-proclaimed warrior of justice, was not one to shrink from mere possibilities. After all, reality can only be created by your own decisions. Fate can only be spinned by your own hands - and Kaya was living by this kredo to her heart’s content.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that mistakes cannot be made. Some things are unavoidable, no matter what you’re doing. External factors will always exist, but you simply have to make the best out of it!

In Kaya’s case, that meant that even a single, tiny stone can influence the outcome of a situation greatly. Being caught off-guard by the sudden bump, the cosplay idol sailed rather ungracefully to the ground. The suitcase followed the face of it’s owner, making a thudding sound as it collided with the ground - not unlike the one that came from Kaya’s sudden meeting with said concrete.

Groaning at the pain that flooded through her systems, Kaya doubled up on the ground, both hands gently rubbing her face and forehead. However, she didn’t stay in this sorry state for long - if anything, it only took a few seconds at most for her to raise to a sitting position. Alas still rubbing her forehead, she didn’t seem too fazed by this little accident past the initial impact.

The pink-haired girl pouted.
