ohhh my gosh anon you should never feel pathetic for positive reinforcement in your favourite tv shows!! i’m so glad the post made u feel better. honestly tho, no matter what your age or what demographic a show is aimed at, it can be super exhausting to be worn down by a constant barrage of gross sexist jokes and dehumanizing humor in media, so even if it IS bare minimum and intended to teach young children a valuable lesson, i can 100% sympathize with it feeling like a breath of fresh air. i felt the same way.
dont let it get you down and dont feel bad about getting your good feelings and positive reinforcement from anywhere, no matter how small. we’re all fighting the same battle!!
