Sophie (formerly Wobbles), the CH kitten, is under the weather with diarrhea and some nausea. Because she is vaccinated, and she IS continuing to drink water, we don't think it's panleukopenia - and because we haven't had a case of panleuk in nearly a year. Coccidia? Giardia? A nasty virus? Something she ate? In any case, she's coming back home with me tonight for subcutaneous fluids and tube-feeding, while we continue with meds for nausea and diarrhea. We're also going to run a panleuk test just to make sure. Please cross your fingers, toes, and toebeans for Sophie! ADOPTION DAY! 8 Beautiful families have taken in 10 beautiful souls! Yes....you're seeing that right.... All of our CH kittens went to their forever homes. Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia Feline cerebellar hypoplasia is a congenital (from birth) neurological disorder that occurs when a kitty's brain did not develop properly in the womb. The kitty will have an underdeveloped cerebellum (part located in the back of the brain under the cerebrum). The cerebellum controls coordination, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills.  This disorder has the nickname "wobbly syndrome" since the kitty looks wobbly and falls over. It is not life-threatening. It's not contagious. Their quality of life can be affected if they do not have the ability to grow up in an environment which is safe and nurturing, but they won't die from it. Ever walked a drunk friend home??
