Tagging Game!
Ahh so I got tagged by both brightestbulb and alphabetawesome, so I guess that means I'm just gonna do both sets of questions! Muwhahaha.
Anywho-
This tag is to get to know the person behind the blog better. As with any tagging game there are rules:
Rule 1 - Post the rules. Rule 2 - Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then make 11 new ones. Rule 3 - Tag 11 people and link them to your post. Rule 4 - Let them know you’ve tagged them.
Questions... will be after the jump so I don't murder your dash!
alphabetawesome's questions:
1. If you had to choose between blindness and deafness which would you choose?
WHY NO GOD. Ergh, Laura, you chose my least favorite question - my dad is very close to blindness now and I hate it. I hate hate hate it and I get super stressed without my glasses and the ability to see and read and understand what is happening - but at the same time, I've seen what people who are blind can do and overcome - I'd have to go blindness; I just can't imagine being unable to hear music or voices.
2. If you had to choose between losing your arms and legs or to never hear music again (you aren’t deaf, you just cannot hear music) which would you choose?
And then, having said this, this question, to me boils down to: horseback riding vs. music, because that's the first thing I thought of when it came to using my appendages. I'd keep my legs/arms - but I'd be abjectly, utterly, crushingly miserable either way, so this is an unfortunate question. 8C
3. If you could play 7 minutes in heaven with ANYONE (dead or alive, and I don’t mean necrophilia I mean like, if you could travel in time) who would it be?
Hrmm. Whose historical face would I like to make out with? Um. I mean I have a huge history crush on Thomas Jefferson, but not exactly 7 minutes in heaven. Probably a celebrity crush - let's say Matthew Lewis or Jim Sturgess. (lame answer is lame)
4. Peanut Butter&Honey -vs.- Peanut Butter&Nutella -vs.- Peanut butter&jelly:
PB&J all the way.
5. Currently listening to: Good Intent - Kimbra
6. Something you literally could not live without and would go to ridiculous life endangering lengths to protect (mine is music and my friends for example): If we can do multiples - my family, my friends, horseback riding. (I've discovered I actually lose my mind without access to horses. Who knew, right?)
7. If you had to kill off one of The Golden Trio, who would it be and why?
EXCUSE ME. GOD. Oh man this is awful... I guess Harry because I can't... no, I can't do this. It's so awful.
8. Guilty pleasure?
Ke$ha. Also Smash, because really, it is actually a horrible, horrible show and yet I still watch it? Seriously, it's genuinely so bad.
9. Jacob or Edward or Bella (I mean this is a marriage/sexual way)?
Like a FMK? Jacob. Or I guess K-Bella (which would actually be so easy, you just have to break up with her. ooh low blow.) F- Edward. M- Jacob. ...yay?
10. Tell me your best/funniest pick up line: Are you from Tennessee? Because I want to make out with your face. JennaMarbles all the way.
11. um shit last question shit what idk uhhh If you had to choose between living for a very long time but alone (i.e. no significant other or children), but very wealthy and healthy and using the wealth to save the whales/orphans/3rd world countries/etc and be extremely well regarded by everyone (and the president/Queen/etc) OR live short (due to illness) and only with enough money to live decently but have a wife/husband and as many children as you could want and be very very well loved and well cared for? Which would you choose?
Why are all your questions so tragic? That's really hard. Probably the second; I feel like I'd be so unspeakably lonely in the first.
Whee! brightestbulb's questions:
1. If you could spend the rest of your life with any 3 people in the world right now, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
This is hard! I mean, to sound ridiculous - I'd probably say my family (mom/dad/brother) because I do value them over anything and anyone else in my life. Otherwise this is kind of hard - I don't know if I'd want to spend all of my time with them, but I'd sure like to meet Thomas Jefferson, Jane Austen and TS Eliot.
2. Would you break the law to save a loved one? without hesitation.
3. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? Scotland! I just... really like it there. Plus I could import Irish horses with ridiculous ease. :)
4. Has your greatest fear ever come true?
No.
5. Would you want to have a relationship similar to that of your OTP(s)? Oh depends on the OTP - Pam and Jim, yes yesyesyesyes. James/Lily or Doctor/Rose? Partly yes, because they love eachother so much, and partly dear god NO because of all the unspeakable tragedy!
6. What is your happiest childhood memory? Why? Ooh, I don't know. I had a wonderfully blessed childhood. I'm kinda boiling this down to three. - I remember kayaking on a lake (or something?) in Martha's Vineyard with family friends, and it was the first time we were allowed out on our own, and I felt so free and grown-up. - I remember trying to find my older cousin to come with us to get ice cream, and driving the five minutes there to Baskin Robbins without him and him popping up out of the trunk of the car as we drove up, thinking it was hilarious, and me thinking he was so clever and funny. - I remember I used to close my eyes and drop my reins and stirrups as we were walking back to the barn late at night because my pony, Dundee, knew the way and I trusted him. I remember riding him in a halter out to the paddocks, and walking in step.
7. At what time in your past have you felt most passionate and alive? Why? If not now, then when do you think this feeling will come? Well, I feel, again, pretty lucky with the realization that I've felt that way... a lot. So it comes and goes. I'd say, weird things trigger that - horseback riding, definitely, but then other things - listening to Mumford & Sons and driving with one of my best friends late at night, once recently walking in Forest Park. Music triggers me, and open space and fast cars.
8. What risks would you take for love? I think I'll find that out when I'm presented with them. I just hope I take whatever risks are necessary when it counts.
9. What do you want to achieve in the next 5 years? - study abroad. - graduate college. (holy crap) - you know what? Let's see if I can publish a book. (I'll be... 23?)
10. If you had the TARDIS/time traveling machine for 24 hours, where would you go, who would you visit and why? Aghhh oh my god. I'd get stocked up on caffeine and go everywhere I could. But highlights - - 1800s open prairie America - roaring 20s Paris, New York & London - height of the Egyptian empire - ....and Roman and Greek - wherever the closest planet that has intelligent life on it. that would be absolutely fascinating. Oh my god. Someone get me a TARDIS. Now.
11. What songs would your life soundtrack include and why? Life soundtrack: (in no particular order )
3x5 - John Mayer Iris - Goo Goo Dolls Why Georgia - John Mayer Marching Bands of Manhattan - Death Cab for Cutie Underground - Ben Folds A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More 'Touch Me' - Fall Out Boy Barbeque - ALO Daydream Believer - the Monkees The Future Freaks Me Out - Motion City Soundtrack
