Every fandom I’ve been in has been either RPF-based or had an RPF contingency.  Glee’s weirdly toxic RPF underbelly (the idea that in order to ”truly” enjoy it or ship it you have to believe in it and/or intensely ignore or tear down the reality that reminds you it’s fiction) surprised me when I joined.

Well, tbh, it’s mostly because they are all super fucking hot and we wanted to write about them boning?  I’m sorry, you were probably expecting something a lot more complex.  LOL
No but seriously–Will and Mia know each other (they’ve been mutuals on FB since before Chris and Will started dating), and that’s more or less why it started.  They are at the very least acquaintances/share friends. Â

On a more author-y note, it’s fun to enjoy as a purely fictional romp, exploring poly relationship themes, group dynamic drama, and personality clashes/combinations.  There are some strong personalities among those four.

It was a very peculiar mashup of role play games this Halloween in Polyverse land. ;)

Chris and Will swooping around the house “fighting crime” while Darren and Mia put on cabaret acts.  Scandalous!  Batman and Robin will have to apprehend them.  Then shrieking monkeys chasing squeaking mice.  Oooh, what happens when the monkeys catch the mice?!
…that escalated quickly.
