Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: Danny is more likely to discover Chin wearing his stuff. He’s too broad to steal most of Chin’s shirts, and gets fed up with having to roll up the legs on his sweatpants, but he has been known to borrow Chin’s robe or a pair of his boxers to go make coffee for them in the morning. Chin, on the other hand, seems to love thieving Danny’s comfy sweaters, the odd shirt, and on a couple of occasions when he’s needed a nice tie he has gone straight to the master of neckwear for a nice selection.

Who initiates hand holding?: Chin. Danny likes to touch and hold, but he is more of an arm-around-the-waist/hand-on-the-ass kind of guy. He makes contact with Chin physically whenever he can, just to check in. But it’s Chin that goes for the hand, squeezing fingers, giving Danny that little smile that melts his Ha'ole heart. And Danny loves it.

Who likes having their hair washed by who?: Chin. Danny’s got magic fingers and can give a great scalp massage. Although Danny does enjoy it when the favour is returned.

Who likes to slow dance?: Danny. He knows he can’t dance (and is reminded by the team often) so he tries to go for the hug-and-sway style of dancing because it draws the least amount of mockery. Plus, he gets to hold his man up close and personal, and he will never pass up on that.

Muse that’s more likely to fall asleep with their head in the others lap?: Chin. He’s been known to curl up on the couch and put his head in Danny’s lap while they’re watching TV, and with Danny stroking his hair the guy can’t help but relax so much he falls asleep.

Muse that does all the cuddling in a blanket fort?: Danny. He cannot get enough of wrapping himself around Chin. Chin hugs him right back though, so it’s pretty even really.

Who hogs most of the covers at night?: Chin. Danny is like a radiator, and the amount if heat he gives off is phenomenonal. If anything, Chin pulls the blankets off his man because he thinks he might go into nuclear melt down, and sharing the covers with him is like having a hot water bottle in there with him, overheating. He could probably just skip the covers and drape Danny over him to keep him warm.

Muse who nuzzles the others shoulder to get them to give them a head rub?: Chin. Again, with Danny’s magic fingers it’s hard to resist. Whether it’s a proper massage or just carding fingers through his hair, Chin loves that feeling, and Danny finds it very therapeutic to stroke his baby.

How do they share a desert? Two forks or one?: Two forks, but Chin always let’s Danny have more than half of the dessert. That man has an unbelievable sweet tooth, and he is always grateful that Chin makes way for that. He has ways of showing that gratitude that seem to encourage Chin to repeat the behaviour.

Who gets jealous more easily?: Chin. It’s strange, particularly for a guy as zen as Chin Ho Kelly, but Danny is a very tactile guy and he puts his hands on people without even thinking most of the time. Chin can’t help that tiny spark of jealousy when Danny flashes that gorgeous smile at someone else, especially if that person is obviously attractive, or someone Danny used to be involved with like Rachel. He knows Danny would never do anything, of course, but jealousy is irrational.

Who gets angered more easily?: Danny. It goes without saying really, because Danny has always had anger issues and his firey personality and anxiety allow him to get worked up too easily. Chin knows how to calm him down though, and the same in reverse when those few occasions do arise and Chin gets pissed at something; they know exactly how to diffuse each other. God help anyone who makes them both angry at the same time, though.

How do they go to sleep at night?: Spooning or facing one another. More often than not they face each other and tangle their legs together, but when they spoon then it’s usually Danny playing big spoon - this usually leads to Chin throwing the covers off so he doesn’t die of heat exhaustion.

Who gets the most shoulder rubs?: They’re pretty equal. Danny and his magic fingers are very popular with Chin, of course, and Danny loves to hear the noises he can pull from his lover. Chin likes to keep Danny relaxed as much as possible, though, so he gives his fair share as well as receiving.

What are there arguments/fights like? How often do they fight?: They don’t fight all that often. A standard argument with these two will usually start with some misunderstanding, or someone waking up on the wrong side of the bed and being grumpy. It will flare up long enough for the angrier one to vent their frustration, one of them (usually Danny) will storm out, and then let themselves cool down before returning, apologising, and then they sit down and talk it out like adults.

Who is more likely to throw things in fights?: Danny, though it is very rare. Fighting, for Danny, is always more of a verbal thing than physical (aside from the arm-waving and gesticulating, of course). So on the couple of occasions when he has thrown something it has never been directly at Chin, and has usually been the moment he realises he’s acting like a child and, in turn, brings the argument to a halt.

How do they make it up to each other/apologize after an argument?: Lots of kissing and touching, little delicate strokes of one another’s hair and face, reminding each other both through gestures and verbally that they still love each other. And, most importantly, apologising if they were in the wrong.

Do they have nicknames for each other?: Chin calls Danny ‘my Ha'ole’, and a small range of Hawaiian names depending on how cute or amorous he’s feeling. Along with the standard 'babe’ and 'baby’, Danny likes calling his man by his full first name, Chin Ho, because he likes taking something that should be formal and making it into something intimate and playful. Danny also tends to call Chin pretty much anything cutsie, especially in the office - babycakes, sweetie, honey - just to try and get a smile out of him. 99% of the time, it works.

Caring for each other while ill, how does the other muse go about it?: Chin focuses on trying to find a remedy, most often having to convince Danny to take something herbal and foul-tasting that works wonders and gets him back on his feet. Danny, being a daddy at heart, goes straight for the parental approach and ensures Chin gets all the rest, food, medicine and snuggles he needs to feel better.

Who’s more likely to be patching the others wound?: Chin is more likely to be patching Danny up, the guy has Steve McGarrett as a partner after all. Danny gets into a lot more scrapes and situations than Chin, although Chin has received more than enough wounds for his comfort as well. Their job is dangerous, but they look out for each other constantly.

Muse that says ‘I told you so’, after they come home from the beach and other muse is burnt to a crisp while whining how bad it hurts for not listening and putting on sunblock after the other muse repeatedly told them they’d get burnt?: Chin. He is used to the sun and going surfing, whereas Danny is always more focused on making sure the kids are covered in sun lotion and he forgets about himself.

Your otp has a newborn baby, who gets up in the middle of the night when he/she cries?: Danny mostly, because he’s done it all before and has this inbuilt nurturing instinct. Chin is just as natural at the whole kids thing as well, he just bows to his man’s knowledge and experience and does his best to learn the tricks.

Your muse’s of the otp reaction to finding the others crying about something? And how do they make them feel better?: Danny goes straight for the hug, engulfing his man as completely as he can, and says nothing that might sound judgmental or condescending. He waits until Chin is ready, then asks him what’s wrong and what he can do to help. Depending on the cause, Danny wither helps to fix it, or goes on a rampage to end the person who upset his man. Then he goes on a one-man mission to make Chin smile again, because that’s all he ever wants to see.

What would they be like as parents?: Brilliant. Chin would be the calming influence, then one who pulled Danny back when he was being a bit overbearing or worrisome, and he would be wonderful at talking things through and imparting wisdom. Danny is cuddly and playful, and loves to make his kids laugh, but he also drills into them the importance of their personal safety, ensuring they can look after themselves when he and Chin aren’t around.

What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: If they were both the same age and in school together, Chin would have been the successful, popular jock with the heart of gold and Danny would have been the guy who got into trouble with the teachers all the time and hung out with the wrong crowd, but yet was sweet as anything. Chin would help Danny stop acting out all the time, and Danny would get Chin to stop putting so much pressure on himself all the time.

Who initiates taking a bath together?: Danny. They both generally prefer showers, but when he feels like it Danny will happily luxuriate in a hot bath, call Chin in to 'wash his back’, and it won’t be long before he convinces his lover to join him.

Who likes who playing with their hair?: They both do. Chin finds it very relaxing to have Danny stroking his hair, and he is also one of the privileged few that Danny allows to play with his 'do. This more often than not leads to kissing, making out, and then something a lot more intense…
