len and lisa are beluga whales! they’re very Chubby because all whale merfolk are chubby. mick is a pacific sleeper shark, since they can be found swimming around perfectly happy in active underwater volcanos. axel is a regal/royal angelfish (same species, different names) and he has lots and lots of flashy frills. rosa is a crappie and she is super spiky with big ole fangs that she uses to pry open clamshells. sam and evan are both mirror dorys.
if they’re not mentioned here, they’re not a mer-though that doesn’t mean they’re human-for example, hartley is a siren (but he is still deaf, don’t worry).
iris, like avery, is a betta, but she’s not the bright purple of avery. she’s a deep purplish-red that’s very, very pretty.
