First Exam!
I passed my first exam on chapters 1 - 4 I n Child Decelopment with flying colors! I got 100%! 50/50 points! So excited!
Turned in my last paper, last homework assignment and had my last lecture! After next week (off all week) we have review and potluck day and then the last day is the final test (which is only on the last 3 chapters).
And then I am done! With my first class in 6 or 7 years!
Also I registered for next semester. I am taking 1 Child delevlopment class, one PE, and one art class!
I decided that since it’s going to take the same amount of time and money anyway (I have a waiver) that I am going to finish my AA at the same time I finishe my child care certification :)
Two papers and 1 exam today! For 1 class! I need to keep studying because class is in 1 hr and 45 min! But I am still babysitting a little one. Wish me luck!
Early Childhood Development Ch3
We talked about some hard hitting stuff for me in class last week. Infertility and conception in particular. I am dealing with this in my day-to-day life so it was a hard class. At least I know my stuff! We even talked about IVF and other options and I know way too much about this stuff. I think I can keep it together during class, by the struggle is real.
Professor Bailey said we were going to learn some hard hitting stuff about our parents/childhoods but dealing with that trauma, especially the new stuff related to our infertility problems, in an intellectual way is going to be hard. I really like this class but I am glad it is the only one I am taking this semester. My therapist and I are going to have plenty to talk about! Lol

School was good! I was a little nervous of where the class was because no one seemed to know. It was super confusing. But I arrived to my off-campus class, on the campus of a local High School. I went to a small Montessori type high school so this giant campus was new to me.
Also I am in class with a bunch of dual enrolled high school students and then a few ladies in the same boat as me. We are all about 4 - 6 years from our last college class, married, a few have kids, and all around late twenties to early forties. It’s nice. I got a few people’s numbers in case we need to get class info. I am looking forward to the class. It seems right up my alley.
Apparently all the reasearch I have done in the past few years and all the knowledge passed on to me by my best friend who is a teacher, really stuck with me. I just now need to read the book and do my homework! Part of my assignments are to observe children! I am very excited for that part as well :)
