CRIMSON EYED NUISANCE     /     there’s spite in her throat as she made herself known to him  ,  her gait slow && her steps light. Hatake Kakashi was danger’s most beloved son    ;    even Minami had to exercise caution in his presence. Praise clung to him a second skin     ---     even someone as disinterested as her had been forced to listen to words of admiration for Hatake over && over && over. The odds were undoubtedly against her  ,  but she would be forced to gamble on victory regardless. He was a thorn in the Akatsuki’s side that she had been ordered to pluck  ,  even if that thorn wielded a thousand fucking jutsu.

“    Just what do you think you’re doing     ?    ”

His thumbs dig pain into Gai’s legs, but it’s a smile he gives the other, along with his signature thumbs-up. He likes that Kakashi doesn’t mind helping him deal with the consequences of whatever creative training he cooks up.

“Much better, rival, as always!” Yet his legs remain unmoved, happily propped still on Kakashi’s lap. He loves milking these moments.

            Post-early afternoon dinner, Mayu leisurely made her way back to the campsite she settled by the night before. She sluggishly prepared to settle down, winded by the fight she tolerated after yet another dine n’ dash disaster. Passing by a large tree, about twenty feet away from her destination, she noticed something different---an uncommon presence.

            Halting her pace with a clenched fist, Mayu glared over her shoulder to focus on the ‘presence’ that was nearby. There it was, a man oh so casually sitting by the stump of the large tree ... reading? On the same tree various pigeons chirped on the branches above their heads--but that was about to change. Mayu, now fully facing the man raised her voice, a vicious grimace visible on her face, 

               ❝ HEY !!!! ❞

                        with the booming echo of her voice,                                    the pigeons fluttered away, immediately scattering,

    Yet again, another night of drinking for her sensei took a turn for the worst. She came to notice slowly but surely that whenever he had a night out with Asuma, Gai or any of his friends, he’d go far beyond his limits of tolerance. All it took was a single shot of sake, then one more… and more. . and more. Until he’d get so intoxicated that Sakura managed to stumble across him sleeping wherever his drunken state took him, a pounding headache and a hangover that made his usually composed appearance look like that of a corpse. Like right now for example. This truly wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for her to come across.  

    An elongated sigh would part the medical nin’s lips, head shaking, but not out of disappointment—more out of amusement given the state he is currently in. She couldn’t help the small fit of laughter bubbling from the sight she witnessed of her dear sensei. “You really need to hold down your alcohol better, you get so ahead of yourself you don’t even manage to find your way home.” She’d admit, palms propped along her hips. Luckily she had extra water inside her bag along with a few aspirin. And so, she’d reach her arms out to offer him these essentials, sure enough to cure his hangover in no-time.
