People often ask me about how I make my African Maxi dirndl skirts (check photos 3 and 4 if you have no idea what that is π). Luckily I am making one right now and I thought of taking a break and share with you guys a brief procedure I use. I used 2015 of fabric Chic on budget New clothes for who? π @a_ayiera designs . . . 1. Cut out your waist band width (depending on how thick you want it.mine was 4") length (depending on waist size. Mine was my clients waist size) 2. Make Neat gathers by sewing basting stitches (not backstitch) preferably 2 lines of basting stitches to make gathers neat and strong(check second photo). Adjust gathers evenly until they are the same length as the waist band 3. Attach waist band( DM if you want procedure for this) 4. Attach the zipper and sew from zipper to bottom of the skirt (DM for procedure too) 5. And VOILA!! ππ you have a dirndl skirt that you can dress to almost any occasion;class, event, outing...
