listen up gang, it is i, the trash captain, coming at th(r)ee with another character!!

Is that JENNIFER CONNELLY? No, it’s just Chicago’s own DELPHINE THORNE. Their identification will tell you that she is FORTY-FIVE and that she is a SOCIAL MEDIA GURU/MAGAZINE OWNER. She is known for being DISCIPLINED and GENEROUS but catch her on a bad day and she is HOPELESS and AVOIDANT.

i already know that this intro won’t be as long as the other ones i have written, but let me tell you, delphine is definitely a bit of a doozy,

born to a wealthy (kind of stuck up) family, delphine was trying to have a normal life right from the start -- while attempting to be a regular teenager, partying and whatnot, she was still hyperfocused on her school, studies and everything alike, because a part of her still didn’t want to disappoint her family,

at first, she wanted to become a businesswoman, reach a ceo status of some high-tech company -- studied engineering and IT studies because she apparently no longer wanted to have a decent social life,

fast-forward, maybe two-three years later, she dropped out of university and started writing -- short stories, magazine columns, things like that, 

delphine figured that she no longer wants to be someone her parents basically forced her to be, and kind of... rebelled against everything and that resulted in having quite a bad relationship with them, despite the fact that she’s on her way to become even more successful with her own magazine and brand than those two combined,

that being said, she can often be compared to cat grant or jacqueline from the bold type -- you know, that tough as nails, resting binch face-bearing boss lady? that’d be her, if you added the fact that she basically can’t stay mad at someone for longer than a day,

extremely understanding and forgiving, but don’t let that fool you -- you mess up more than two times and you no longer exist to her, 

really, really, really gay -- been engaged two times to two different women, but that, as you can already tell, did not last, and she has no idea why,

she likes to think she’s one of those people who prefer a quiet night out rather than a big grand gesture for everyone else to see -- she’s a romantic soul through and through, but unless you’re one of the people she’s dated or her best friend, you know nothing, 

she has a younger sister -- addison -- safe to say that delphine is kind of sad that they don’t really get to spend a lot of time together; with both of their schedules always being so damn busy and full of events, they basically don’t have time to do so -- they’re working on it, though... at least they think they do,

lives in a big, big penthouse, owns just about five cars (four of them being rolls royces and one being tesla -- she’s extra, and she knows it) -- big fan of everything technology and fashion related; it’s obvious that you’ll find the newest gadgets and collections in her hands the second they come out,

i’ll be throwing a bit of fred’s bullet points at y’all so you can get to know her a little bit better, yeah? c:

she’s a chicagoan, born and raised, and very very happy to be living in the city

she was born to jewish father and mother, both of them had parents who came to america after ww2, and she had a twin sister called adalicia.

her twin sister died in the car accident in which fred lost her hearing, they were sixteen years old

ever since, fred’s felt incomplete but she kept her life going. she transfered to a deaf school were she learned ASL and got to know more about the deaf community

she then got more into art as a way of expressing herself and trying to cope with the loss of her sister and her parents’ marriage violently falling apart as the days passed by

she went to college an majored in fine arts with a focus in the history of art

she teaches a sculpture class at the university of chicago once a week and spends the rest of her time doing her own stuff

she’s got a nice vibe to her, although many people have told her she does look sad a lot of the time

fred is the biggest ‘trier’ you’ll ever meet - she won’t give up on anything easily

special agent michelle o’donoghue would quite literally sell just about anyone to satan for a cornchip if they ever called her michelle instead of MISHA,

...that probably does inclue everyone with a higher rank than her, as well,

for some reason, she just doesn’t like her name, AT ALL,

if you’ve ever heard of rosa diaz or darlene alderson -- misha is basically a slightly tamer version of those two tbh,

also, this entire weapons-thing might have been inspired by the throwaways, but shh,

carries a switchblade with her almost everywhere -- apparently, it’s like a fidget toy for her,

she’s the only character of mine that actually sleeps well, surprise, surprise,

has a big interest in martial arts --- dabbled in karate, boxing, kickboxing, you name it,

wants to learn some more, like an overachiever she is; that goes without saying,

as much as she loved getting in trouble when she was younger, she wasn’t that big of a problem child while growing up -- she just simply didn’t know when to shut the hell up to not make anything ten times worse; gotta love that no filter life, right?

doesn’t exactly have trust issues of any kind, but she is really, really skeptical most of the time; she’s got no reason to be, but she just likes to be cautious about most things she’s about to get into -- and yes, that includes relationships of any kind, as well,

ambivert --- misha doesn’t mind being around people as much, but there are times she would rather be away from them, reading something, watching her favourite movies or tv series, you know... just chill whether it be alone or with her favourite person,

a big fan of plaid shirts, chucks or doc martens, and jet black skinny jeans that basically make up at least 80% of her wardrobe. big sweaters and leather jackets could be found there, as well; misha’s not a fashionista by any means, she just wears whatever she feels the most comfortable in and that’s about it,

lover of puns, science and music related humour; probably also the biggest mass effect fangirl you could ever find. legit -- she’s probably finished all the games at least ten times, and almost cried by the end of it, too,

misha’s father is a general and always wants her to travel for some important trips with him, but she always says no, seeing as she is busy with her actual job; he doesn’t quite get that she is still not interested in following his footsteps, despite the huge amount of times she told him such,

she was brought up to be someone who didn’t even flinch when the bad things were happening to the other people, she was taught how to fight, how to defend herself and how to escape from basically any kind of sticky situations,

so... she kind of has problems with expressing her feelings -- she is working on it, but smh, it’s hard,

her name is reese wolfe, or like… ree, or something; doesn’t really do nicknames, but by all means – go wild with that, if someone’s her friend, she probably won’t mind,

she’s like... lexie grey and maura isles smushed together, except... she’s a lawyer -- makes total sense, i know..........

basically, a really charismatic kind of a person, --- a big ol' nerd,

studied law, because she didn’t really have another option – she didn’t want to disappoint her (late) father who's owned a law firm back in one of the hospitals in canada,

even though she comes from a wealthy family, she never really acted like the sun shines out her ass, because this lil dweeb knows it ain’t cool,

she’s just a human embodiement of a puppy who cares about everything and everyone, most of the time, on a good day,

used to be involved with theatre, years ago -- she can sing and dance pretty well, and only showcases it during drunken karaoke sessions, or whenever she thinks she’s alone in the apartment,

she might seem like she’s calm and collected, but like… she’s not,

still a charmer, though; i don’t know how she manages to do that,

surprisingly, she is a pretty good cook and loves baking,

does this woman even sleep??? the answer is no,

seriously, running on three or two hours of sleep would literally kill everyone, but she swears she never felt better,

honestly... she has no idea what is going on half the time,

she never really knew her biological mother (only seen some pictures of her), her father re-married, without letting her know about anything only because he thought that reese was too busy with school at the time,

and of course, that was the thing that angered her a lot; they got into an argument over the phone and it was basically the last time she's spoken to him,

both her father and her younger sister died in a car crash caused by a drunk driver over three years ago; there was no hope for both of them to survive,

she doesn't keep any form of contact with her father's wife (ex-wife????), and definitely doesn't plan on reaching out to her in any time soon,

ergo, she’s a little bit tired of everything and just wants to have some gosh darn peace for once,

doesn’t exactly have any issues with commitment, she just......... she has no idea what she wants in her life, i guess??

alright so as some of you may know, jaina is kai’s half-sister!!

their mother had an affair with an old family friend and well, it led to jaina and mrs. brasher was hoping it’d be kept secret--- but that wasn’t the case.

she didn’t understand why her ‘father’ never spoke to her or why he refused to feet her at dinner. like jaina is so smol and tiny and she just didn’t understand why someone she wanted to love didn’t love her back.

but kai took care of her and oh my god she loves him immensely. like he literally built her up and made her feel so wanted bc their dad didn’t.

so jaina grows up, she’s a bit of a trouble maker but RLLY she’s a sweetheart and she always means well. she’s tough and doesn’t let anyone walk on her.

throughout high school she had really good grades and took an interest in being a lawyer and like she was so set to go to school and all that but the night of her HS graduation, her boyfriend was killed in a car crash and jaina just lost interest in everything

like she drops out of the law school and just closes in on herself. jaina cares very deeply so when she lost her boyfriend, she took it extremely hard.

its been three years since that incident but jaina’s lawyer dreams are p much over. 

now she’s a bartender and loves to pick on all the doctors, detectives, firefighters, etc. bc she’s a brat but she loves all their stories and they’re all her family ok considering she p much works every night

- childhood friend; friends since they were little, obviously they don’t have to be the same age but jaina was a really sweet kid so i’d love someone who’s seen all her ups and downs and remains close to her.

- ride or die; jaina still gets in a fair amount of trouble at parties, various protests, etc. but this person is always at her side to either encourage her or pull her out if it gets a little too dangerous.

- hookups?; while she’s been good about getting over her boyfriend’s death, jaina is just like any other angsty young adult. especially if it’s late at the bar and some tension needs to be relieved....

- protectors; some of the older adults who come into the bar. jaina’s young and smol so maybe if someone starts arguing with her they step in and help her out. she’d also be interested in all their work stories.
