I finally have a moment to show you a tiny snipit of the magnificent place my husband brought me to celebrate my birthday! Sequestering away where you have to take a train for your car up mountains because there are no roads (I had not even heard of this before!), where zero cars are allowed at your destination and distinguished beauty abounds at every angle of every glance~ The Matterhorn was a sight to behold and any human that has a love for the outdoors should go whenever they are able in whatever season they happen to visit. This is the most regal and majestic mountain I have witnessed thus far in my life. It was not boring to park it on a bench and watch the Earth's majesty shine. Occassionally, the snow would waft off of the tip of the berg and I certainly sat starry eyed at the process. Little joys like that, for me, were previously only seen in book images or nature shows. Catching vivid sunsets, hiking in ice and snow (holy crap it was so cold!), discovering new and exciting things around almost every bend and eating amazingly scrumptious food with the best view of the mountain; We had a most amazing time of our lives. I'm so grateful to share my life journey with someone who knows me well enough to surprise me with such a meaningful and stunning view of this planet. I love the essence of you, my Love, and I wouldn't have desired to be anywhere else than by your side, in the place we were to begin this trip around the sun. PS: How adorable is my steinbock?! I mentioned how I hoped to see some in the wild and since we had struck out so far during our time there, he brought me this surprise to our little brunch at the highest point you could go on top of the mountain~ PPS: This trip was my first real snowy experience with falling and lasting snow on the ground (I'm a Florida girl who went straight from one sunny coast to the other.).
