It wasn't his physical form she thought that seemed different, that morphed and twisted around him, but something else, something  perhaps she should not be able to notice; her eyes couldn't move from him as he took a deep breath and closed his eyes and his ears perked up. It was if it was the concept of reality itself that changed when he suddenly stopped moving, stopped seeming to breathe and she found herself catching her breath in her throat as she looked at him, really looked at him. His striped ears, his striped hair, his striped everything; the scarf over the required school uniform, the painted fingernails and every one of the rings on the hand she could easily see, the distance of each circle of color on his long bushy tail, the foot he had on her height wise, it was like she'd never seen him before but was becoming all too aware of him now. The air crackled and it felt almost like when Luka used his magic, those rare moments when she caught a glimpse of the god inside the mortal shell, the truth of Loki. What Tsuki saw though looking at Cheshy, the sensation she got was different, as different as the light of a star billions of miles away was to the light of the moon, as different as a blade of grass was to a leaf off the alder tree; Loki and Luka were different, but Cheshy never really changed. He stayed the same, just more of himself, and it fascinated her.
