I’ve been reading the Eisenhorn novels at an accelerated pace due to being extremely sick, and it has become apparent to me that Cherubael is very gay for Eisenhorn, which is later shown to be a semi-suicidal gay way.
It’s very telling that Eisenhorn laments being unable to be in a relationship with Bequin (a blank), all the while obsessing over Cherubael.
Furthermore, Eisenhorn binding Cherubael as punishment for manipulating him implies that Eisenhorn often thinks of the daemonhost even after his (mostly orchestrated) victory against him and Quixos.
In summary, they gay as hell
