why yes ofc!!! ignore how its been a couple days ive been stressed thinking of who to do. hmmmmmm…….im gonna do marlene because shes become one of my favourite characters recently but i dont post enough about her

grew up religious and she felt sick to her stomach when she developed feelings for mary

her family’s like whatever the wizard version of mormons is

she always knew she was a woman, but she’ll always look into other peoples television screens and wonder

she’s very awkward—like she literally doesnt know how to talk to people at ALL so she’ll just be spitballing, hoping she’s funny(then people are just staring at her, confused)

her hairs actually like a dark red/auburn brown type of colour but she started bleaching it like in second year and never went back, putting pink highlights in every once in a while

she grew up in a large family—like i’m talking twelve other siblings. she was closest to her brother—Adam—who was closest in age to her. but he was very sick and she watched him just fade away

further on this, her family just straight up doesnt believe in medicine

i love the hc of her, james, and peter being best friends when they were younger

she felt angry and hurt when james, peter, sirius, and remus would bully others—even if she also didn’t necessarily like the person/ppl they bullied—but she was especially upset at peter and james since they were/are her best friends, so why are they bullying others?

she kind of distanced herself from them after, not wanting to be friends with bullies. she still talked to them, but they weren’t as close and that HURT

marlene didn’t like lily the first couple years because she thought that lily was a hypocrite and a coward for being friends with people who believed in blood supremacy/were bullies

she would sometimes cry herself to sleep, thinking she’s wronged God or that the Devil’s taunting her with her crush on Mary

sometimes marlene and mary would practice kissing and marlene would convince herself “it’s only practice for the real thing with a respectable man!!!” but it would be the most euphoric moment in her life

she tried to force herself to like sirius instead, thinking that would work

her and Mary were best friends—like im talking they were together 24/7

they are very jackieshauna—like marlene sort of is both infatuated with but also resents mary

marlene started having her first real doubt in God in year five when the war started happening—thinking something along the lines of “why would He let all of this happen?”

she LOVES lollipops—esp red ones, and there was one time mary was having a blue lollipop and she not so smoothly was like “omg i wonder what would happen if we kissed rn like would our tongues by purple? hahah thatd be so weird……unless?”

she has a STRONG moral compass; like she will tell you if youre being an asshole, no matter how close you are to her

the first time she really felt like herself was when she joined the quidditch team—enjoying how it “felt boyish” in a way

she felt distraught—almost betrayed—when mary left and wouldn’t join the order. thoughts going theough her head like: why wouldn’t she want to fight? does she not care? does she not care about me?

after mary left, marlene put most of her focus and time into the order. it felt like a good distraction—she started dating dorcas, was less upset, started feeling more confident in herself.
