Let me preface, I've never been on the Rocky/Grace bandwagon. I adore their friendship, but any sort of romantic relationship between them was just,, not in the cards for me.

HOWEVER. I was introduced to the wonderful concept of Human!Rocky, specifically the Ortiz!Rocky design. And boy oh boy. I get it now.

(Specifically, I would love to direct your attention to the incredible artist @kiodja here on Tumblr - I reposted their Ortiz!Rocky art a few days ago, I'm so in love with how he's drawn. Please please go check them out!)

Anyway, the fic I'm recommending is short and sweet but I'm head over heels for this Rocky's characterisation, him and Grace's whole dynamic even, and I can only pray the author will post more of them.

Not to be dramatic, but I NEED everyone to drop whatever they're doing and read this NOW.

ColtlandGentry brothers fic, damn right we've got all 3 brothers this time. Just under 20,000 words, was literally posted today. Absolute perfection 👌 The ending made me cry (in the best way possible) and especially when gearing up towards the ending I felt truly in the moment with the characters.

Do you want to hurt? Do you want to put these boys through the wringer, absolutely crush their souls and hopes, and leave you crying yourself to sleep?

Me too. And no, I don't know what's wrong with us.

Anyway, if you haven't already, check out frihifran on Ao3, their series "the condiment brothers". They have caused me great pain and suffering, and frankly I need more people to cry with. And they need more appreciation.

"The Astrobiology Immersion Program" by "startingatmidnight" on Ao3.

Incredible. Had me absolutely hooked from start to finish. The writing is impeccable, the characterisation is everything I could have ever wanted and more. Every single character has LAYERS. Rocky, the literal rock, is more characterised than I've ever seen and I love it. Even the brief appearance of Adrian toward the end - it's everything.

The concept was pulled off beautifully, no notes. I guarantee you there are things within this fic you wouldn't have thought to consider, and it fucking works.

And the humor is top tier. The sadness is top tier. Every emotion is top tier I can't recommend this enough!!

I'm gonna stop myself from writing a damn essay about how good of a read this was - but just know there's not a single thing I would change about it. 48,000 words and I read that bitch start to finish in one sitting.

Its one of the best, if not the best Rocky and Grace (completely platonic!) fic I've read.

A solid 6,700 words, short and sweet, fucking brilliantly written. A few twists that genuinely had me slapping my face and going "oh my god it gets worse" - I just had a great time reading this.

I can't believe I've not recommend this one yet, I've had it bookmarked since it was just a few chapters in and have been following along ever since

It's another (ha, shocking) ColtlandGentry fic, but this one follows a different path centering around the brothers and the baddest bitch of all, Eva Stratt - and girl, this is a fucking ride.

Today we've got "Finish Line" by "CasualDivinity" and "Sainttless" on Ao3

This is a Stuntdriver fic (Yeah thats right, I remembered the ship name this time 😎) with (sort of background but it also is a heavy plot point) Coltland twins. It's based in a Formula 1 setting and AUGH BROO

Let me stop butchering the context and get to the point - IT'S SO GOOD. SO, SO GOOD.

I've been following since it only being a few chapters in, it's currently ongoing with two more chapters to go. These last few chapters? My heart. Oh my god. Fuck I don't want to spoil anything but I cried, my boys 😭

And it's not just the plot I'm in love with, nor the incredible writing. The absolute love and dedication of the authors bleeds into every single chapter, and god it sells. There's not one thing out of place, everything has been thought through to minor details and it just embodies what I love about fanfiction. There's such a personal, human passion poured into this and it's just so visible and lovely.

I mean, in this latest chapter there's a whole list of extra plot points in the author notes that build out this world even more - and it fits so fucking well and the whole thing is just,, so cool to me, idk how to get that across. I just love it, I admire it so much, so much thought and time has been put into this fictional world and it all fits together seamlessly - my brain can't do that. There's no chance in hell I'd ever be able to achieve worldbuilding this fucking smooth, and expressive, and just such a joy to get into.

I love authors so much, genuinely you all bring so much joy to me and other readers, thankyou for being so passionate and sharing it with the world.

So yeah, I'll stop my love letter here. Please please check out this fic! 53k words and counting, I promise this is worth your time (even if you're not into F1, I know fuck all about motorsport and I'm having a blast).
