 A Christmas Gift

It was the week before Christmas and Mizuiro still hadn’t even decorated her apartment yet. She had been so piled up with work and worrying about the turtles on their continued search for Karai. It had been almost three months now and still nothing. It was almost that ever since her disappearance and her mutation, she was invisible. Especially to Leonardo, Mikey would come over some nights to keep her company, and as grateful as she was to the orange banded turtle for bringing countless smiles to her face. It was the blue banded leader whom she wished would notice her. 

Christmas was always a happy time for Mizuiro, and when she first moved to New York she was ecstatic to be spending her first Christmas in her new apartment. Since making four new green friends in the process whose father as well as them, had considered her part of the family already, in the short space of time in which they had known each other.

It wasn’t until a good few months since meeting the turtles that Mizuiro had noticed one had stolen her heart secretly.  The way that the blue banded turtle would catch her eye, the dashing smiles he would send her way. She had fallen, and she had fallen hard. If only he knew how she felt for him, cared for him, loved him. To reciprocate any feeling towards her would send her beating heart fluttering. Now with everything going on and the Karai situation, Mizuiro no longer felt like celebrating the holiday season.

Trudging home from work on the crisp winter night it was, Mizuiro took her time taking the stairs to the fourth floor. It wasn’t as if she was in a rush to go anywhere. Upon reaching her door and pulling the key from her lock, her normally dark apartment spilled light at the end of the hallway from where her living room and kitchen resided. On alert the young woman quietly pulled the baseball bat she kept in an umbrella stand and used what stealth she had in her to creep along the corridor. From the corner of her eye she saw figures moving and with taking a deep breath Mizuiro launched herself into sight ready to pummel the intruders in her home. Mid swing the bat became motionless with a flash of green stopping it. “Now is that any way to treat family?” A smooth baritone voice asked with a smirk to its tone. Miziuro opened her eyes finding Leo attached to the other end of the bat, a dashing grin crawling across his face. Gently taking the bat from her and stepping aside, Leo motioned to the rest of his brothers as well as Master Splinter in her front room. The place was decorated with hanging garlands from the ceiling, a beautiful tree and been placed and decorated with gorgeous glass ornaments and lights. Candles were lit and a bountiful feast of pizza and nibbles had been prepared by Mikey, Donnie was finishing up the lighting, Master splinter creating beautiful paper cranes to sit in the tree. Raphael was cleaning up the dishes. The turtles and Splinter drew their attention away from their tasks to smile at their friend.

“Didn’t think we’d forget about ya at Christmas did ya?” Raph asked with a mischievous grin, she wasn’t aware Leo had snaked his arm around her slight waist. Mizuiro looked as if she was about to cry, from joy, from happiness, from being overwhelmed? Who knew. The glossy shine of tears in her eyes made them simmer like star light as she took in the sight of her apartment. Mizuiro was brought from her thoughts by Mikeys chuckling. Turning her attention to him she followed his finger to what he was pointing at, looking up in the doorway she was stood was mistletoe. She was about to respond to Mikey when her lips were sealed by the contact of someone else. The arm which was around her waist pulled her closer to the hard chest of Leo, his free hand cupped around the back of her head deepening the gentle but passionate kiss. Her eyes widened in shock, could this really be happening to her? Pulling back allowing her to catch her breath, Leo tucked a free-flowing strand of hair behind Miziuro’s ear. “Merry Christmas Miziuro.” Leo said gently, and to prove that she wasn’t dreaming and before she had anything to say her lips were stolen from her once more capturing another gentle and tender kiss under the mistletoe.

Ariel - Hufflepuff

3. Ariel definitely brings an owl with him. He likes birds a lot so he probably has another one back at home that comes to deliver him messages from his family sometimes but he has his own owl he uses at school to send messages.

8. Well it depends on the organization, this is pretty vague. I imagine him being a prefect (is that an organization?) but I don’t really think he’d be in a secret group unless someone introduced him to one. He’s pretty oblivious to them. But if he’s aware of an organization and he likes their cause, he’ll definitely be interested to be part of it.

48. I think he would cousider being a professor at hogwarts, especially since in my headcanon his uncle is one (this is too OP but I’d love Hans to be headmaster eventually too like he’d be a nicer dumbledore lol). But at the same time he’s not exactly the best candidate for a position of teacher, I think. He could be invited by Loïc (who’s definitely going to be a hogwarts professor) as a special guest in one of his class (I imagine Ariel becoming an expert of some kind in his field of magic) but I don’t think he’d be a professor.

Niko - Ravenclaw

Yeah, I know. I said he was a slytherin. But then I compared him to my shitload of other slytherin characters and realized he wasn’t really one. Niko asks the hat ‘let me guess i’m super dark so i’m slytherin’ and the hat is like ‘no way u have no ambition my boy but u sure love to know a lot about weird things and anyways ravenclaws think they’re geniuses and have no sense of community u’ll fit right in’ (not actually what the hat said) so he was like ‘fair enough’. That kinda answers question 2 lol, Niko did accept the hat’s idea (and gained some respect for it in the process).

10. Definitely, I don’t think he really has ‘house pride’ so he’d have a lot of friends in other houses. Not that he dislikes ravenclaw, it’s objectively his favorite house, he just doesn’t care. Though it’s easier for him to be friends with ravenclaws since they’re in the same dormitory and he’s not the most friendly guy around. His ravenclaw friends in my ocs are Rebecca, Tabby, Sam, Frankie and I think he gets along well with Joel. Surpsisingly, it’s an AU where he has quite a lot of friends. In my ocs he’d also be friends with Ophia (slytherin), Cyril (hufflepuff), possibly Noah (hufflepuff) because of Tabby and of course Ariel lol. I think he might have trolled Ariel into believing he was in slytherin at first for fun and it worked for a couple of weeks (always sitting at their table, putting a charm on his clothes to make Ariel see his uniform with green colors). I think Niko doesn’t like gryffindors though lol.

29. Niko loves the library, his favorite thing is getting into the forbidden section and trying to read about dark magic. He tries to use spells to make temporary copies of the books he finds so he doesn’t have to take them with him when he leaves. Sometimes he skips class to read in the library.

Pros: He’s the type of person that makes you feel safe when he’s around, he’s a real pushover if you want him to do things for you without being spineless (he won’t take your shit if he thinks you’re going too far). He’s probably the type to do little things out of love like buying you flowers and stuff. He’s also very reliable, loyal and respectful. He won’t make you do something you don’t want to do or trick you to laugh at your expense. He’s not going to try to change you and will always listen to what you have to say if there’s an issue going on. He’s the kind of person that would make your own flaws look more beautiful in your eyes, because he’s able to see beauty in everything. (Don’t ask me how he does it because I don’t lol). 

20. First thing I notice in a new person:

Physically, most likely the face. I always look around me and study strangers and the best way to catch my interest is if I like their face. Obviously if they have something special that makes them stand out like a lot of tattoos (that’s hot), coloured hair, different fashion sense, stuff like that.

Mentally, it’s mostly if a person is open to discussion and stuff. If I’m in class and you start talking and I like what I hear, it’s gonna make you stand out a lot more.

35. Favourite Holiday:

I’d have to say…. Christmas? I’m not big on holidays and it’s the only one I actually celebrate, and I do love seeing all my family and give gifts to the little ones. (And receive the gifts but no one ever says that)

80. What is my favourite word?

Geez I don’t know. I think words that make you feel something good when said genuinely. Like “I’m proud of you” or “I love you”. Those are my favourite words to hear.

150. The meanest thing somebody has ever said to me

Uranus: Right now my main hobby is playing video games (and watching people play video games when I can’t afford the game or don’t have enough skills lol).

Sirius: I have never failed a class, last semester I had to drop out of a class because I had too many and couldn’t study enough so I had bad grades in all my midterms but I didn’t fail any of the classes I kept. It was accounting 3 and it’s a miracle that I never failed any accounting classes because they’re hard as fuck (I got C- and D+ in the ones I passed lol).
