I wrote a blog post!  This one is about A Princess of the Chameln, which was released in e-book for the first time on November 17th.  It’s the first of the Rulers of Hylor trilogy and this post contains my feelings towards the characterization of women in the book.

Well, first off: the re-release of Cherry Wilder’s book, A Princess of the Chameln is less than 2 weeks away!  At my internship office, we’re working hard, digging through the bowels of the internet, to find bloggers and people to read and review Cherry’s book.  Jim’s still editing my blog post about the book (which I admit is a good thing since I’m not the best when it comes to first drafts) and I can’t wait to get it up here.  There’s a lot more to releasing a book than I thought.  All of this advertising and generating buzz, it’s intense.  But it’s giving me a good look into marketing/promotion/etc in case I ever decide to go the self-publishing route.  We’ll see.

Also, Pillars is nearing completion!  I’ve only got about 6.6 chapters left to write, but my deadline is the 15th!  Granted, I do have some wiggle room, but I want to make this deadline.  It’ll be a great test to see if I can do it in the future when it comes to my writing.  Also, Professor Kuka gave me some REALLY EPIC advice on how to re-write a scene that just wasn’t flowing right and now I’m super stoked to do so.  It’s seriously like something out of a horror movie, I’m so excited, cause I’ve never written anything even remotely close to horror or anything like that so this’ll be a good test.

Hopefully once Pillars is done, I can start futzing with some artwork.  Reference images and the like.  Maybe finally finish that map.
