So despite some of the hurdles I had to clear, this is one of my favorites pieces I’ve done. I decided to add more progress pics.

I was very worried about Wong’s colors. I have a very limited copics collection and it doesn’t have a ton of skin colors which I’ve been able to get around with some creativity. I was very excited when I put the picture on the background that it complimented him very well.

I went overboard with ephemera but I don’t care XD I love it. I usually don’t use more than one quote but these three were on the same page and I couldn’t pass them up.

The background I really love. It’s coffee dyed notebook paper, painted over with watercolors with some tissue paper decoupaged over. I love texture. I’ve learned nothing makes me happier than crinkly crackly paper.

More fun doodles cause I haven’t wanted to really do anything for…a while so when the muse strikes I dont ask.

The first one was based off a bunch of golden age Avengers comics I salvaged. They’re yellow, cover less, and scribbled on some pages but I just ADORE the art style. I want to continue to work on it. Cherry came out good, but Wong is too…square. Good for Western hero’s, but I want him to look more, well, Asian XD

I’ve had an itch to do some watercolors. I’m still playing around with them and trying to figure out my style. My biggest issue is being impatient with my layers lol.

The prompt was “torn edges” and I’m a sucker for a good torn edge of watercolor paper.

Just a quintessential Cherry picture. Despite her setbacks and past, she’s someone who always tries to see the best and not let hope die.

With the exception of possibly tweaking, Cherry is finished. I’m really happy with where this little pic is going. It’s been so much fun to just play with colors and shading. Working late today this was a great way to just relax <3

The trials of an artist. I am really happy with a lot in this picture. That being said, there’s a lot I’m not happy with this picture. I’m still working on a lot; mostly Wong. Haven’t found a style I like him in, but I’m getting closer.

Just a funny little headcanon that Wong probably does have a cellphone (he’s got to get his music somehow). Cherry doesn’t have many means to reach him. She doesn’t have magic or halograms and such. So she spams him a lot. Anything and everything she sends over. He grumbles about it, especially if he forgets to put the phone of silent, but he honestly loves the attention.

A very quick edit. Finding screen caps of the Dr Strange What If episode went a long way in helping me find what was driving me crazy about Wong’s face. There’s still tweaking to be done, but I am so much happier with this.

I am so happy with this but my one regret is you’ll never see how damn sparkly that little heart is. I need a camera that catches sparkles :T
