Autumn. Or Fall, as Cabanela would say. He thinks the changing of the leaves is a pretty sight to behold, and the cooler (but not cold cold) temperatures mean his coat isn't as uncomfortable to wear as it can be in summer.
SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?
Not technically from his childhood, but when a teenage Cabanela made up his mind to pursue detective work, one of his birthday gifts that year was a Saint Christopher's pendant: a silver disk bearing the image of the patron saint of travelers. His mother told him that, as long as he wore it, it would keep him safe wherever he went. To this day he's never taken it off, and I HC it as the necklace you can see in all of his in-game sprites and artwork.
Though he's never been a religious man, far too acquainted with the evils of the world to put much faith in saints or deities, he cherishes that pendant. He'd be devastated if he lost it, especially since his mama is no longer alive, and buying himself a replacement just wouldn't have the same sentimental value.
