Ingredients: 2 lbs short ribs. 1 cup beef broth. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 1 tablespoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 4 hoagie rolls. 1 cup shredded cabbage. 1/2 cup sliced red onion. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 4 slices provolone cheese.
Instructions: In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add short ribs to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender. Remove short ribs from the slow cooker and shred the meat using two forks. Preheat broiler. Split hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Place shredded short rib meat on the bottom half of each roll. Top with sliced provolone cheese and broil until cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced red onion, and chopped cilantro. Close sandwiches with the top half of the hoagie rolls. Serve hot and enjoy!
