Volk: Chef
Long time no paint, getting a studio job sure cuts down on that kind of stuff! Anyways, this is my newest piece for the Volk series I'm making. The idea behind the series is a focus on the characters in fantasy stories who maybe don't save the world themselves, but sure help out the people that do. NPC's, supports, whatever you wish to call them, they're people usually taken for granted when often our heroes wouldn't be anywhere without them.
This piece is all about The Chef, or chefs in this case. I wanted to make a picture about a father/daughter combo that work together, though maybe one more so than the other hehe. I wanted all sorts of weird looking food in the scene, though also a bit of the real world mixed in there to help people's taste buds relate a bit more. Hoping y'all like this image, I worked on it for a while!
