I just want everyone to know, even though I'm sure no one is listening. I've been inside crying all day. Inside while many of my female, POC, LGBTQ, Muslim, immigrant, etc. brothers and sisters are out in the streets yelling at the top of their lungs. I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm so sorry about what has happened, I'm so sorry I'm not out there with you. But my grief has a self-appointed end and it is tomorrow. Tomorrow I will pick myself up, pick up the million pieces of my shattered heart, and I will start working on this. I will never stop until you and I and all of us feel like we are heard and that we matter. Tomorrow I am making a commitment to myself and to every other person in this country that we will no longer live in this archaic bullshit society. We are better than this. And we are the future- these old crusty ass white men do not get to ruin it when they won't even be here in 10 years to see the shrapnel.
