Just been re blogging Tokyo ghoul and dgm for 2 days non stop

Failed my translator test by ONE freaking sentence. ONE SENTENCE. I could've checked it but nope.

I'd totally want to do Use Your Language Day, but it's not like I get any asks. So I'll probably challenge myself irl? My language would be Japanese, cause my Chinese sucks balls now :/

Oh yeah. A couple of my friends found out I'm asexual. They tried to give me the "but maybe one day/find the right person" pep-talk. The whole time it was like NO YOU ARENT LISTENING. I still don't think they get it. Also, English isn't their first language...

I'm going to Japan and China this summer. MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE! For real though, I'm excited as fuck. My language skills will be put to the test!!

I play on a college sports team and there's an excessive amount of stereotyping that goes on that makes me uncomfortable. My teammates complain that the guys do certain things, act certain ways. This spring break we went to Florida. They said, "of course the guys want to go out and do things, but the girls just want to go to the beach and tan". It embarrasses me that I'm somehow included in their generalizations. I didn't go to Florida to fucking lay around in the sun and I'm a girl (in their eyes at least). While the guys are having fun, they're all just taking selfies or something. They have moments of spontaneity, but other times they're unconsciously stuck in the mold of what a "girl" is. I don't hang with the guys just because I'm not really friends with them, but I would hope I could have the same amount of fun with the girls. I hate that what we do and how we act is based on our gender in their eyes. If I dress or do something that seems particularly "masculine" to them, they comment on it, and when I ask them why it matters they never have a good response. They say, "ok, you do you". If they truly understood, they wouldn't have said anything in the first place. It's true, we do always end up cooking for the guys, but it's not BECAUSE a they're guys, it's cause they're lazy-asses. My teammate doesn't join when they kick around a soccer ball cause they're just "being boys", but she'll end up tossing around a football with them later.
