“He’d be so good at that! He already practically lives here. Might as well level up to royalty.”

“Well, if I must become king of arcades, I suppose I’ll accept my destiny.”

“Only if we get free tokens... I have needs.”

Here are a couple of OCs that I redrew for an au. Can you guys notice the improvement? In this AU Catnap likes arcade cabinets, he can repair them, and program them and maybe even play them too! Kids everywhere love him because he is known to give out free tokens.

When I designed Cheerigo I didn't give any thought to the kind of bat she was. But doing 34 seconds of research she sort of looks like a new world leaf nosed bat. Which...comprises like over 100 species of bat. And vampire bats are in there somewhere and they have those leaf noses.

But Rabie who I assume s meant to be a vampire bat doesn't have that kind of nose. At a stretch I'd say she has more of a fruit bat nose? Maybe I dunno?

Fruit Lore: There are special types of fruit in the Smiling Critters world. Two of them are Gossberries (Gossip Berries) and Rememberries.

You can tell Gossberries easily as you can usually hear them chatting above you in the trees they grow on. They tend to grow along well walked paths, catching whatever critters are saying as they walk along, and if you are unlucky, they'll start blasting it out around the forest unless you pick and eat them to keep your secrets safe. Alternatively, you can eat them on purpose to "ingest" whatever gossip they had to offer. Which started the popular slang - "You got the juice?" (as opposed to having "the tea").

First Bite: Surprisingly refreshing. Cool and tart like a green apple.

Middle Flavor: Turns complex, shifting between sweet, sour, and oddly savory, like you're tasting mood swings in berry form. Some say they taste different depending on what gossip they’ve heard recently.

Aftertaste: A faint tingle on the tongue, paired with a waxy bitterness like biting your lip after hearing something you shouldn’t.

Rememberries are much more subtle. They don't talk, and are rarer, usually you can only find them in quiet places. They will stop growing in fact if a lot of critters start going into their growing grounds to pick them. They don't mind being eaten but they prefer their privacy.

The taste is gentle. Like honey mixed with mint but with a brief, fizzy coolness that tingles your tongue. And some say your brain too.

Moments after swallowing, your chest feels warm, like being wrapped in a memory.

A forgotten moment resurfaces vividly: a laugh with someone you love, a cozy scent from childhood, or a little win you didn’t realize mattered. Or remembering where you last put down the car keys. Granted each memory is random but so far those who have eaten the rememberries have not recalled a negative memory. But that's not to say it's impossible. So approach these fruits with caution.

Bubba wants to study them.... Extensively.

Catnap: Yeah it was nice. Really nice. Had no idea I could fly on a cloud.

Bubba: Definitely something worth studying but for now there's a giant Prism Trout with my name on it.
