The Tin Tom moved like it already knew where I was. Its gears clicked so softly they almost disappeared beneath the distant artillery, and every slow step sounded less like a machine and more like a predator deciding whether dinner was worth the effort. I'd seen what those claws did to a trench wall. I wasn't interested in finding out what they'd do to me.

I pressed myself tighter against the cold brick, trying to make myself smaller than I was. My rifle wouldn't help much if that wind-up nightmare spotted me. A bullet might make a soldier think twice.

A Tin Tom just kept coming.

Its head turned...slowly. Methodically.

The glowing eyes swept across the tunnel entrance until they stopped only a few feet from where I was hiding. I quit breathing altogether. Funny thing about fear, it'll convince you the sound of your own heartbeat is loud enough to wake the dead.

The machine sniffed the air through whatever passed for a nose, then flexed its steel claws against the concrete. Three long scratches carved into the wall with a sound that still visits me in my sleep. I remember thinking that if it took one more step, there wasn't gonna be any more Jack Pepper. There was just gonna be another name somebody wrote in a ledger.

Then, somewhere deeper in the tunnel, another mouse yelled. Its head snapped toward the sound.

I think the Mouse PI DLC will focus on Jack's time during the war. Exciting! In anticipation of that I wanted to create a thing that would have traumatized the heck out of Jack. Hooray!

So this is a Tin Tom. Based on two very scary games I've played. Amnesia the Bunker and 1916: Der Unbekannte Krieg (The Unknown War) The Unknown War especially since I was a kid when I first tried to play it....I never beat it. I had to look up a lets play. Watch it to find out what happens!

Also Alien Isolation. Basically every horror game that makes you feel like a trapped rat. Tin Toms directive is simple. Find mice. Kill mice.
