#cheek marks

I found this when I was Googling for a compass shape to symbolize Faith and thought it was the perfect one!

Cheek marks are inconsistent because there are different ways to inherit them! You can acquire temporary or permanent ones from magic exposure, or you can be born with them if your mother has them!

Anyone is capable of wandless magic, but it’s easier if you’ve had magic exposure, and borderline impossible without training.

All mewmans go through mewberty. However, female mewberty is much more intense, and the mewberty of a queen is often rather explosive. Additionally, all mewmans have tiny Mewberty wings afterwards. For reference, River’s mewberty mostly involved him following girls around like a weirdo in bug form. (I’m planning an au where Mewmans are more blatantly bug people. Like, imagine if Star’s mewberty wings kept growing and all adult Mewmans had bug wings ALL THE TIME)

Tom went through Mewberty. It was highly traumatic for everyone except Dave, who positively gushed with pride throughout the entire nightmareish experience.

Part of the reason why River grew his beard out so long is because Moon thinks he looks handsome with facial hair.

I don’t know if I had posted this on here or not, but I had managed to update the cheek marks and changed some names now that I have CSP. I’ll probably explain what changes I had done.

Cheekmarks

Pandora’s cheek marks were once light silver to dark silver while I had changed Memphis (formerly Orbita) downward crescents to gold planets. Festivia’s was like a light purple until I darkened it. Artemis’s stars were dark red to blue to match with her red hair (since she’s a Redbird girl) and Crescenta’s was a light blue to like a pacific blue. Eclipsa’s was originally dark maroon, but I brightened it to red. Her daughter Meteora’s were black clubs but I changed it to lavender to match the canon. I had thought Celena’s cheek marks were pink but once I saw that they were light purple, I had decided to changed the color from pink to purple. I saw other people would draw her with pink crescents, but I wanted to match her canon colors. Comet’s cheek marks were dark purple but now they are tropical indigo color.

Names

I only changed three names for my queens. Memphis’ original name was Orbita until my friend (more likely her mother) from dA had suggested the name “Memphis” because her name has some kind of meaning (I forgotten what it was) so I thought it would be perfect. I know the name was the name ancient capital in Egypt, but I will probably explain it once I written her story. Astelaria’s names were Aiyanna and Vega, so this is the third time her name was changed. The origin of the name Aiyanna was pretty much of a long story due to petty drama that happened a year ago and two months, which prompted me to change her name into Vega because not only to end the drama, but I loved the name and was planning to redo her anyway (it was also one of the name suggestions for my Starco baby Venus). But seeing how the name Vega was quite a common name for the queens I had saw on dA, I changed it to now Astelaria after being inspired by one of my friends’ queen who has a second daughter named Astelaria. Stellaria’s name was bit simple really. I just added the -ria because it sounded better than Stella to me.

I'd like to take a moment out of your planning to murder Daron for not making Starco happen by now to give you a theory about cheek marks.

First point: we now know who all of the card suits are. And we know that Star, Moon, Eclipsa and Meteora are four of the most important characters in the show, which means that more than likely, they will be important together.

Second point: we know from the episode Face the Music that some doors can only be opened when the person with the appropriate cheek marks dips down to open them. (Or maybe it was in Starcrushed.) I'm referring to when Moon opened up the closet containing her battle armor.

So, since there are a lot of spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds in the Grandma Room, I'd say the four of them might eventually need to combine their power to access something in there. It might be:

- a hidden passage

- memories

- an old secret kept for generations

- a magically sealed secret room

- the key to bringing monsters and Mewmans together

- secret documents with a major revelation
