Slime and Chawoo are the two main characters of my four panel comic Slime. It'll be updating on Tuesday. (I hope. Tumblr seemed to eat my post and I don't wanna make it again in case it'll magically appear on Tuesday.)

I wanted characters that are simple. I don't have the energy for anything more complex than this.

Q. The protagonists of November’s FM201.8! Chawoo X ASTRO’s Rocky! It’s a special meeting! Please give your greetings. Rocky: Hello. I’m ASTRO’s Rocky who’s come to you as the protagonist of the 11th instalment of the FM201.8 project!

Q. A special collaboration between 2 men! Please say say your brief thoughts. Chawoo: Even on the norm, I’ve always very much enjoyed listening to ASTRO’s songs. It’s really an honour for me to have this opportunity with Rocky and being able to work together :) Rocky: It’s my first time rapping as Rocky instead of as ASTRO’s Rocky so I was half nervous and half excited. I was able to safely finish recording thanks to Chawoo hyung who directed me well and who slowly explained things to me every moment we were recording! And of course, it was a great honour for me to work together with him!

Q. What kind of song is <Star>? Rocky: <Star> is a song which Chawoo hyung composed and wrote the lyrics for while I participated in the rap making. It’s a song that uses the star to allude to the feelings of longing for a lover who’s left and being unable to forget her. And the most important thing! It’s my first solo as Rocky instead of as ASTRO’s Rocky so! Please give it lots of love♡

Q. How did you come round to composing this song and writing the lyrics for it? Chawoo: I really like the sky. I like looking at the clear sky on days with fine weather, at the sky when the sun sets and at the star filled sky on a dark night! Haha. It’s nearly like a habit how I’ll look at the sky everyday and capture it through pictures. But one day I was walking when I randomly looked up at the sky without much thought and there were so many stars. They were shining so bright! It struck me then. That I have to write a song called 'Star'! So I remember how I made my way to my workspace and finished the song! This is a behind the scenes story but I told you how I’ve always liked ASTRO and that I enjoy listening to their songs, right? To be honest, when I finished this song, I wanted to give it to ASTRO instead of being the one singing it. It’s become a more meaningful song now that I’m singing it with ASTRO’s Rocky.

Q. Your first song as Rocky instead of as ASTRO’s Rocky! How does it feel? Rocky: The song titled <Star> is a song that I’m singing together with Chawoo hyung as a collaboration so I thought I was able to show more rap parts and a new side of myself through the allusion to a star. I’m letting more of my rap and my voice be heard as compared to what I’ve shown the public as ASTRO’s Rocky so my concerns and thoughts were heavier as I participated in the rap making. I had fun working with Chawoo hyung and it’s a song reflective of that so I feel even prouder.

Q. Please tell us behind the scene stories as you worked on the song <Star>! Chawoo: It was originally a song centred around vocals but I made rap parts for Rocky. To be honest, I was half expectant and half worried about how a rap would be combined into the song but the moment Rocky sang his first verse in the recording booth! He eased my worries at one go (laughs). Rocky: I got to know of Chawoo hyung whilst working together with him on this song called 'Star'. Before recording together, we kind of familiarised ourselves with each other? We looked up about each other a lot and there was plenty we learnt about each other so it felt comfortable enough for me to describe him as a hyung I’ve known since long before! Maybe it’s thanks to that but we had a pleasant and fun time recording.

Q. Lastly! Please say something to the Genie family. Rocky: Genie family! I’m ASTRO’s Rocky. While it’s an honour for me to able to greet you through my first solo song, I’m slightly embarrassed and it makes think that I should work harder. A song that’s perfect to listen to at night and when you want to fee a little more emotional, 'Star'! Please show lots of interest and your love! Please shower Chawoo, Rocky and ASTRO with plenty of love! Thank you.
