Have you ever had a wine from Lebanon? Just by coincidence, I saw a post from our good friends @exoticwinetravel Just a couple of days ago about Lebanese wine. Last night, I found myself at the battery, very cool club in San Francisco, and found this 2009 château most are red blend on the menu. I couldn’t resist. This is a fantastic wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan. This wine spent a year in French oak barrels, but in no way feels like an over oaked wine. It was balanced, with nice acidity. This wine is not released until seven years after harvest, spending four years maturing in bottle prior to release. This was a perfect wine to pair with the bone in pork chop shown in the second photo. ————————————————- #lebanon #lebanonwine #winesoflebanon #redwine #chateaumusar #chateaumusar2009 #wine #wineandfood #wineandfoodpairing (at The Battery) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwcaUhaHQQK/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fdp2mttf0fmr
