And then Grant gets in touch...

So like in the original take, she goes into the abandoned C&A buildings, and finds the computer with the headset, puts her camera into the slot for it, and streams her trying out the program. And to her perspective, nothing happens, until she tries and gets her camera back, it is locked in, and showing a very diifferent show. QUE EP 1!
So in this verse, the right bell will curl up to project into her eye, and Pomni is talked to by Chat that is censored for spoilers and other things in real time. After the abstraction of Kaufmo, Ragatha pulls her aside, and tells her that her button eye is showing a text based program, that has her name responding with what she says. The Chat "Virus" spreads by touch, and Caine believes it's fine, he would love to talk to the viewers too.
The shipping happens, and the virus spreads. Meanwhile in the fleshy world, Abigail has stolen the computer rig and all, including the battery back up, and taken it to her home. Seeing her brain scan's interactions with the others, she comes to some realizations about herself… including the terror of the company coming for her. The company's closed down for several years now.
The Circus grows in popularity, with people talking with the characters, some want to get scanned in, and then one Grant Best reached out to Abigail, to help her figure things out.
The humans of the brain scans are able to talk to their scans in direct messages, and only them. Jax is plagued by a Lee, who keeps screaming at him for what he's doing, until someone named Leah takes over the chat and tells him that she was probably in there too, but hasn't seen herself. Somehow a small frog icon appears when she types, and when Lee types a rabbit head. After that, Jax only says one word, a name he swore to never say again.
