Norwich Cathedral
The other day it was super misty so I grabbed my camera for the walk into work and snapped this in the Cathedral grounds.
Went for a great walk out at Sheringham Park this weekend. The first shot was taken looking over towards Weybourne and then Blakeney in the far distance and the second shot is of Sheringham Hall itself.
Norfolk Events Photography - Summer Ball
While most people were probably watching the England game last night, I was taking some shots on the dancefloor at a summer ball. There were many shapes being pulled!
It was an amazing evening tonight, so after shooting some more fashion looks for StyleOnTheCouch I took this view of Catton Hall and the park.

Well the sunset wasn't quite what I'd hoped for when I left the house, but I still managed to take in a big Norfolk sky to a birdsong soundtrack - it doesn't get much better than that really!
Space: The final frontier...
I've been wanting to do some star shots for a good while now and it's been one of those things I've never really gotten around to.
Last night I was at a family do for Easter and snuck out for half an hour once it got dark to take some test shots. I'm going to go back to the same location at a later date when I have a little more time (and a torch!) to experiment further because it was awesome fun.
The first shot is looking roughly west from my location towards Norwich, and it really shows the huge amount of light pollution from the city even though it's really not a big place.
I'm no expert but I believe the three stars in a line along the bottom of the frame are Orion's belt, with the red star Betelgeuse directly above it. It's amazing even with that level of light pollution to be able to see the difference between white, blue and red stars. The Google Sky app was telling me that the large orangey red light on the right of the frame is Jupiter, but the same app also thought I was in Pisa in Italy so I took that one with a pinch of salt.
The second shot was taken at a roughly 90 degree angle from the first, so you can still see the glow of the street lights out to the west. I don't recognise any constellations here, although I'm sure there probably are some. I wanted to create some foreground interest so I ran around like a madman triggering my flashgun during the exposure to illuminate a disused railway carriage and I'm really pleased with how the shot turned out.
Leave me a comment here or on Facebook if you like the shots, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
