Titles Are For Pirates | Peter + Chase
Middle of the night and once again Peter was bored. Hey, what a shocker. When was he not bored? That was rare in this place. Normally at night he'd be flying around trying to find the right star to get him to the second star which would lead him home but he decided to take a night off. Due to the fact that sometimes when you're not looking for lost things, they tend to get unlost when you aren't looking and fall right into your lap. Not that Peter wanted a star to fall into his lap. That would hurt. At least he thought that might hurt. A star is a ball of fire after all. "Would that hurt..?" He asked himself. "Yes! That would hurt." He matter-of-factually-answered himself.
That insightful conversation with himself ended and he was once again left with the dilemma of what to do. His brain racked, trying to remember who he'd met around here that had seemed not too put off by him and more importantly-- fun. He hadn't met everyone yet so his memory had a limited selection and he was sure most of them were asleep. But not all. Someone had to be awake. But he'd never see from this low on the ground. So he shot up into the sky and landed on a roof, perching right on the edge looking more gargoyle than boy and scanned the streets underneath himself.
Mostly he saw people he didn't know. And for a moment, all seemed hopeless. Peter let out a frustrated sigh but then, then his eyes caught a glimpse of a head of curly hair. So far, he'd only met one person with hair that curly. A boy like that anyways. And that person was by far not boring. Peter opened his mouth and cupped his hands around his lips so he could call out to Chase but after a second, decided against it. He didn't want to wake anyone. So he stood up and leapt into the air, choosing instead to fly right behind where the other boy was. He hovered in the air behind him for a moment, not making a sound, then lightly flicked the back of Chase's ear. And before the boy could turn around, Peter flew up. Just a little bit. So he was above him and not directly behind him. So as not to be seen. Not right away anyway.
