The whole Quinn affair had torn apart the family that Sarah was trying to build with Chuck, she had never thought that should find a man that was as to her as Chuck had been. He had been amazing, better than all of the men in all the world in her opinion, the way he had been so patient with her, allowed her to do the things that she had done to him when she was essentially brainwashed and not hate her for it. Her memories were still to some degree lost, that day on the beach when he had told her their story had been a fun time to be with him, it wasnât until that kiss that some of her memories had come back. Her memories up until after two years after she met Chuck had come back. The budding romance, the danger of being a spy and asset had come back to her.
She had thought about what she needed to wear for Ellieâs wedding, the thought of leaving Burbank and Chuck to go on missions with Bryce Larkin and the new Intersect 2.0. It was Chuck who calmed her down and filled her in again on everything that had happened, she looked down at the ring around her finger and knew that it was true, even if she wasnât wearing the ring she believed everything that Chuck had told her. Even if all of her memories didnât come back he at least had some semblance of his Sarah back.
It wasnât long after that day on the beach that the two spies decided that they needed to take a break from their spy work to work on their marriage, to get back to where they were and be able to be as intimate as they were before. It had taken some work and some trial and error to come back to each other, however shortly after that strange things were happening to Sarah. She had woken up most mornings feeling sick and running to the toilet to promptly vomit, she felt off balance emotionally as she was overreacting to every little thing leaving Chuck deeply confused that he was the cause of all of this. Promptly when all of this had happened the two thought it was possibly a side effect from the faulty version of the Intersect in her head, Chuck had contacted his sister to fly out quickly and give her a look over. After a few hours of tests and examinations it was determined that she was in fact a couple of months pregnant, judging by how far along she was she had gotten pregnant around the time that they were dealing with the Quinn matter. That day on the bullet train had been enough for her to get pregnant.
Hearing the news made Sarah nervous, she wasnât the mother type, she didnât know the first thing about being a mother. She wasnât sure she was ready for this, the her that was in Chuckâs life two years after meeting him wasnât ready for this, the her that was happily married to him before she was taken and brainwashed was and wanted so badly to be a mother. However much or little her head remembered her heart remembered far more, she had conflicting emotions of being giddy and excited about having a child and brining a little version of herself and Chuck into the world, at the same time though deep dread filled her other half, she was afraid that she would be a horrible parent and make all the same mistakes that her parents more; or worse make even worse mistakes. Ellie left the room to let the two of them talk, Sarah was thankful for Ellie, she was always there for her, like the big sister she always wanted. She turned to Chuck with worried eyes, âChuck?â She called to him quietly, nervously, âWhat are you thinking?â She asked him worriedly, she hoped that he wasnât upset by this, âChuck, donât freak out.â She said after a moment hoping that he wasnât freaking out too much.
