Spooky Time is a website created by Diana Carter. After witnessing her next door neighbor’s murder , Diana created this website to cope with the bizarre death and find clues about her neighbors killer.
What kind of website is SpookyTime like? Think of it as a tumblr ripoff, but with a lot less functions. The website allows a user to submit a textual post along with a handful of images. Users can reply to posts and even retweet such posts in order to help the uploader spread the word.
What is SpookyTimes' main adjective? This website strives to help those who deal with paranormal encounters. Many users share their encounters and relate to others who experienced similar things. But SpookyTime isn't just limited to the paranormal, some users have uploaded posts about real life stalkers and serial killers that roam around this twisted world.
Who are the uploaders? Uploaders are the users of the site. They are the ones who report the terrifying incidents in hopes of finding others who can help them out. Unfortunately 50% of uploaders who sign up to SpookyTime create an account as a form of diary. These users do their best to have detailed descriptions and other information to help (and in some cases warn) users of evil entities. Accounts like these stay active the least, as the uploader for this account dies rather soon from their stalker. Forty Percent of the websites users are what we call a casual user. A casual user uploads items such as news articles of such stalkers or even personal experiences of such stalkers. The last 10 percent of users are mostly trolls or people who want to spend time browsing the website in hopes of a good scare.
Who are the stalkers? The thing in which the user is talking about. Stalkers can range from a murderous teenage girl to a talking doll who eats human fingers. Stalkers can be both paranormal and mortal.
Why is it called SpookyTime? SpookyTime sounds like a children's book, but the name has significance to the website's creator. SpookyTime is what Diana and her younger brother would call movie nights whenever they would watch a horror movie.
How does the story work? SpookyTime characters almost always come in pairs, an uploader and a stalker. Sometimes a stalker can have up to five uploaders. The goal of an uploader is to find out what the stalker is and what it wants. We upload posts based on one stalker. Each reflecting the different uploaders and the stalker. After a couple posts, we either deem the uploaders as survivors or victims of the stalker. (Bascially if they were dumb enough to get killed, or smart enough to get away) Whichever outcome is chosen, we end the story and move on to the next.
Are characters needed? Yes! Anyone is welcomed to submit characters! It is more anticipated to submit both an uploader and a stalker, but not limited to just submitting one character. If anyone is interested, private message me for more details.
