each chapter of this history is making me more and more wary of you going back thereβ¦ but still! still better to be prepared. Whatβs next?
He lets out a nervous chuckle, "heh... yeah you're telling me, who knew one building can have such a colourful history."
He looks back to his phone, "maybe the next one won't be so bad?"
His hope visibly dissipates, "or not."
"Okay, get ready for this one guys- between 1933 and 1942 this place acted as a personal practice for a doctor who -surprise surprise- wasn't as much of a great guy as he seemed."
He sighs and starts to read the article out loud.
"The small hospital stayed open for almost ten years before the grisly details were unearthed by its very patients, patients who were said to have died on the operating table."
"The hospital was advertised as open for anyone who needed treatment for anything that ails them, so you can imagine most of the patients that came in were ones down on their luck with nowhere else to get help."
"The doctor on the outside was a warm and inviting character, seemed to understand anyone that came through his practice- but within the confines of his walls contains a secret operating room where the warmth doesn't reach."
Thomas takes a second, before continuing on.
"The patients in here seemed less like patients and more like genetic experiments- the ones that weren't dying from thier treatments seemed rather stable."
"The experimentation these people had to endure is a cruel splicing of thier own DNA and... animals."
Horror falls on Thomas' face, "is that even possible? it said some of them were stable... I am horrified and curious."
"The most stable of the patients was able to break free of their confines and get far enough to be witnessed by others before the doctor found them, it's said that when they were found they lashed out and bit the doctor with thier long fangs that killed him almost immediately after."
"The hybrid person wasnβt so lucky to get out alive themselves though, their very existence panicked the other patients and was stricken down by fear of the unknown."
"The hospital was shut down not long after- it's said that you can hear mysterious animal noises in the building to this day with the loudest of them being an angry hissing."
"I'm starting to think this place isn't a happy one" he jokes feebly.
