Thoughts on X Drake #1
So I‘m cure writing a fanfiction with this guy, so he is a lot on my mind lately. And I‘m trying to understand his moral code.
And I‘d like to know if I’m on the wrong track or if it makes sense to anyone besides me. Maybe it was said a hundred times before and I just missed it.
But:
Back On Minion Island his Father’s said he is tough but a coward.
And in Wano he acts like a lot of things are below him, or his presence would be over the top.
Like when he and Page One have to find the ominous Soba cook or with Hawkins in the bathhouse (tbh, he probably wanted to skip this because he can’t handle barely dressed women)
But I think his reasons are the same in all of these three scenarios.
It was neither cowardice nor arrogance.
He didn’t want to.
Why?
Drake wanted to become a Marine as a kid. Bering a pirate with his father probably didn’t sit right with him. I mean, he was probably scared of Barrels, since he mistreated him. So he was afraid to openly rebel against him but he was most likely holding back in battle or reluctant to engage.
And in Wano he was undercover. He did what ever was necessary, to keep his cover and get a reputation and a good position among the Beast Pirates, so he could gather as much intel as possible.
So He did whatever was necessary, (like raiding Amigasa village) but not more. He didn’t want to terrorize people more than he already had to.
At least that is what I think. I think he is actually not that bad, I mean, he seemed kind of friendly with Corby.
