Jihyo sobbed a bit when she walked back into her living room to find Chansub sitting on her couch head leaning back and eyes closed. The half empty wine bottle  falling out of her grasp and hitting her carpeted floor with a muted thud. Her hands went to her mouth and she bit back a squeal of surprise. “Yo-You’re alive?” Jihyo finally managed after a few tense moments.

Chansub was basically radiating with an unusual amount of excitement. “I did some research and found a place that delivers cookies. They call themselves Insomnia Cookies. And I heard they were good and they are open literally 24/7 so I already ordered two dozens and two pints of ice-cream. Because ice cream is best at 4 am.” 

Chansub watched the girl in front of him. She looked almost unrecognizable despite them having shared the same apartment for the past few months. He was still panting, his body still whirling from the adrenaline of the battle. “Yumi. That’s enough.” His voice was strict and monotone as he made his way over to her the trigger word slipping from his mouth easily. He felt as if he should go and comfort her but the last thing he needed was to get in the way. Then he might have to use force to calm her and then she would whine. “Are you ok now?”
