Famous short seller Jim Chanos reportedly made $ 100 million bets against the collapsed Fintech Wirecard 2020

Famous short seller Jim Chanos has made $ 100 million from betting against Wirecard since last year, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

He increased his short bets against the German fintech group after the Financial Times launched a public investigation into the company, the newspaper said.

"If you are a basic short seller, the Wirecard story was a classic," said FT's Chanos.
