Last week on the show we had SEG, a 24 yr old Producer from the parts of Catford, Lewisham, England. Gathering just under 500 followers on Soundcloud, SEG racked up plays in the thousands, favouring FL Studio to build it. We showcased his new EP âScatterbrainâ, which was aired exclusively and released through @ChannelAltRadio on www.radarradio.comÂ
Hereâs a quick interview with SEG.
âCassKidd here from Channel ALT and Iâm happy to say Iâve had my producer, my guest, my buddy SEG.â
âSo SEG, youâve done your first ever radio interview, your first ever EP release and it was all live on radio, so how did you find it?â
âIt was quite, I dunno it was quite nerve racking at first but as soon as the music started playing like I, you know felt comfortable, and was good to hear it in the studio and was finally good to let it out really.â
âWhat impacts do you want to have on people that listen to your music, so what is the key thing you want people to take from your music?â
âThe main thing, I just want people to feel something, you know, to listen to the music and you know just to give them some kinda ⌠feeling really yeah.  So Iâve put a lot of feeling into the music so it lets me know Iâm doing a good job if the listeners feel something as wellâ.
âAnd you are a producer that produces on Fruity Loops Studio, probably one of the most entry level programs that now make people loads of money in production, so what advice would you give to anyone who wants to get into production?â
âLet me say just shout out fruity loops studio but yeah software isnât the most important thing, you know people make music on all sorts. But listen FL Studio is the best if your asking for my opinion FL Studio is the greatest one, so really itâs a no brainer.â
