Ah, Seo Hyun I know somewhat. Though more from her interactions with Kyu and Shim than her group.

I think they’re cute together, in a nagging older brother / tolerant younger sister way? I’ve watched them on some variety shows, and a moment that stuck with me was Shim going, “Seo Hyun-ah, you need to start dating soon, you don’t want to end up like Hee Chul-oppa, right?” 

And Seo Hyun was like sitting there rolling her eyes with her face going wtf-is-this-prat-srs, and it just cracked me up. 

I also heard she’s quite studious? And she’s the resident nagger of her group? So I can quite see her commiserating with Shim, “Oppa, eonnie-deul have not been sleeping early again.”

"Them too? Ugh, Yunho never really sleeps."

"It’s so frustrating, we just want them to be healthy!"

"Yeah, but they just laugh at us."

"I wish they’d listen to us more-"

Again, I don’t know Hyo Yeon enough, except for some SMTown fancams and that time she went onto Happy Together with Shim and some other SM artistes. 

I do know that she does the SMT dance battle with Jung though? And she’s the dancing machine of her group. 

So visually and performance-wise, I think this is a great pairing, in that they both can keep up with each other? And play off of each other’s individual dancing styles and keep the performance fresh with little impromptu additions here and there.

Because one of my scant complains about HoMin’s performances is that Shim often looks like he’s slacking off while next to Jung, even though he isn’t, because while Shim is a decent dancer, Jung is … well, Jung. Jung is phenomenal.

Victoria’s POV

I stood backstage and watched as Changmin and Seohyun perform together on stage. They were really something else. No wonder the fans think  they are perfect for each other. 

Seohyun was a much better fit to him than her. She is beautiful, inside and out, and talented to boot. The two of them match each other on many different levels, something that she was never able to do.

She had always compared Changmin to the sun and herself to the moon. Much like the sun, Changmin was always bright and warm. He was always there to support her, no questions asked. It was like how the sun gives light to the moon so that the latter could shine as well.

And just like the moon, she understood that she could never shine as brightly as him and she was fine with that. What she wanted though was to be able to support him as well. Every time she felt like wanting to help him, she felt like the moon that was sharing the sky with the sun at the same time. She was there but can’t be seen or felt.

She was completely useless.

But she understood the case was different with Seohyun. Just like Changmin she was a bright star that could hold her own and support him as well. 

Losing herself in her thoughts, she was brought back when the feel of familiar arms wrapped around her slim waist. He was her second chance with love. Even though she still had lingering feelings for that man, she also knew the man behind her held a special place in her heart. 

Much like Seohyun was perfect for Changmin, they say she was perfect for Nichkhun as well, and to some degree she agrees with them. 

The Thai man had always been nice to her, always taking care of her. Sometimes she felt their relationship was turning into something similar as to what she had with Changmin. She wanted to change that.

Turning around with his arms still around her, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. With the kiss was a promise she made with herself. This time she will be Nichkhun’s sun, and together the two of them will shine brightly.

Changmin’s POV

Singing had always been his passion. Being able to share your feelings through carefully crafted words and melodies always touched his soul. Sharing the stage with a person that understand and feels the same way about it was even magical.

In all honesty, he never thought he’d see the day that he’ll be dating Seohyun. She had always been like a little sister to him. A sister that shared the same interests and views. Someone he wanted to protect and take care of. His eyes had always been on a certain Chinese girl that was introduced to him by his best friend, Kyuhyun.

Finishing their performance, they exit through the back and something catches his eye. It was her. Well, technically it was her and her boyfriend, his arms wrapped tightly around her in a possessive yet protective manner.

Her fans had always called her a goddess or a queen. Names that he rightfully deserved. And like any other royalty, she should be treated well and always protected. Something he knew he failed to do.

When the slightest news about the two of them dating came out, hi fans began attacking her. He came over to her side for support but never told his fans off about their behavior. He knew it was the right thing to do yet he didn’t do it.

People had said that someone like her didn’t deserve to be with someone like him. He disagreed and thought it was the complete opposite. He felt he was unworthy to be with her. 

That was why he broke things of with her. She deserved someone better than him. Looking at the couple now, he knew he did the right thing. Nichkhun was a man that will treat her well.

He watched a she turned in the other man’s arms. He felt lump develop on his throat as she leaned in to kiss him. He averted his eyes before their lips could meet.
