I just learned about the IOS Tumblr update...

Hey, I noticed you tag smth as "q slur." I understand some people have an issue with the word, but it's really hurtful to call my identity a slur. Could you maybe tag it "#q word" or something to that effect?
Yeah that actually sounds a LOT better while still being enough notification for anyone that is uncomfortable with it. Maybe I can make a post about this tomorrow...?
This has honestly been a concern for me too given that I’m panro & a-spec and I know a LOT of ppl in those communities alone ID as q. So ur solution is great I think/hope!
I guess I’m just super cautious about this term bc I’m older (32) and I have older friends/profs/colleagues/etc that have expressed so much anger and frustration and HURT from this word that I am extra cautious. But I realize that that is hurtful to those for whom this is super applicable and is like the only word they have to describe themselves.
So yeah, this is a struggle & I like your solution of #q-word. I hope that any followers for whom this might be a problem will catch either this or my future post (probably tomorrow) about the change in tagging and can adjust accordingly (if necessary).

So I've decided to change my Beware The Betrayers tag, because it's served it purpose, and its time to move on and heal. I’m changing it to The Forgiven.
I also want to add - thinking about it - simply because they are forgiven, that does not mean to no longer be wary of these figures. It does not mean to put your guard down, simply to put down what no longer is serving us.
maybe there’s one member of the system that feels. less inclined to forgive. Yet that is the decision best for us. perhaps we’ll move the bitterer things to his blog, since he’s inclined to take it. but I think we shall have yet time to see.
